We are spending the last 2 nights/3days of a month long trip at DLP and I'm trying to decide on accommodation but I cannot believe how expensive it is for one of the onsite hotels. We prefer to stay onsite so I have to work out an option that works.

We are a family of 4 and grandma is coming along with us as well.

I think our best bet would be 2 rooms. DLH is too expensive for our budget however I would've dearly loved Hotel New York but their prices are also very high for our dates.

My question to you is:- should we consider somewhere like Santa Fe? It really will likely only be for sleeping as our kids are 14 and 10 so we will be wanting to see as much of the parks as we can with our limited time.

With that said though, we will all likely be quite tired at the end of a month away so likely won't be having late nights.

What do you think of Santa Fe for our family for a Sat & Sun night?

Also, what would be your top 2-3 dining recommendations for our family. And when should we book these? And how do you actually go about booking the ADR's? Is it an online system like WDW?

I would very much appreciate any advice or recommendations you can give. I feel confident with DLR and WDW but DLP is completely new to me.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I've replied on the other thread about the Santa Fe :).

There are 2 reasons why your dates could be looking expensive - Saturday check-in is the most expensive day of the week at DLP, and determines how much you pay for your whole trip. Also, thats the start of some French school holidays, so that also makes the resort hotels a bit more expensive.

Can you change your dates/check-in date to another day of the week?

Also, are you looking at your own country's prices on the DLP website? You are not restricted to your own country's deals, you can price up your trip on any other country's site (just "change country" on the home page of the official DLP site). Any booking confirmation you get is by email, not through the post, so you can choose any offer from any country which suits you.

The price you see for 2 nights onsite on the official DLP site includes 3-day park hopper tickets for each of you, plus breakfast each morning at your hotel.

I've just had a quick look at prices for your dates for the Sequoia Lodge and there are two things you need to bear in mind..

Firstly, Saturday arrivals are always the most expensive. eg £1077 for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 nights compared to £777 for an arrival the next day. Is there any way you could change your dates slightly or maybe stay offsite on Saturday and stay in Disney Sunday and Monday?

Secondly, the only offer available for April at the moment is two nights free, so for your two night stay there is no discount being applied. I would therefore wait and see if a better offer comes along, eg 30% off or similar. Even 15% off would possibly give you a better deal (although don't hold me to this - Disney's pricing isn't always that logical!). I would hang on though personally.
