DLP DVC and Annual Pass Questions

I posted this on the DLP forum, and it was recommended that I post here as well.
I am planning a surprise graduation trip for my daughter and her bestie for mid June and have decided on Disneyland Paris (this is her bucket list trip). We have been gifted a very large amount of points with an expiration date and will be using those to stay on property. I realize using points for DLP resorts is not a great use of them, but due to the number of points, expiration date, the convenience of staying onsite, and my knee issues, this is my plan. I am thinking 5 days in the parks - I know that's a lot, but this is likely a once in a lifetime trip for her, and I am very very slow. We want to see EVERYTHING and do all the shows. We will also spend some time in Paris, but will take the train on those days.

Questions:
Historically when have the point charts for DLP been released for the April and following months?
Would it make sense to get an annual pass? if so, how does that work with reservations?
Are there any must do food places or experiences?

Thank you for your help, I greatly appreciate it.

If you stay onsite at a Disney hotel you do not need to make park reservation.
You will get a ‘magic pass’ that shows you’re onsite

DLP charts tend to come out about 90-120 days in advance. As with everything else a points chart does not equal availability to book, and a lot of people find they cannot book on points.

Step 1: Rent the points;
Step 2: Take the cash from renting the points, and book DLP.

This avoids the horrible exchange rate and also guarantees you’ll have availability. (Can you book now at a cancellable rate?)

I agree that I'd probably rent out the points and book a cash stay. I also wouldn't want to take the train back and forth to Paris, so would book a separate hotel in Paris.

As much as I love DLP, I think 5 days may be a bit too much, you can comfortably do everything in 3. Maybe rather than 5 days, splurge in the paid FP (called Premier Pass there) to skip the longest lines, which will help with your knee as well.

So the points aren't mine to rent out. This person wants to use their points to cover our hotel stay and has been adamant about that. I've let them know the conversion rate is abysmal, they are aware. I can offer that as an option, but I don't think they will want to go through the hassle of renting.
