I know in WDW up to 4 additional riders can accompany the switchee. The DLP literature makes it sound like only the switching parent can ride the attraction with no wait - is this right or can they take accompanying riders with them?

It's usually either just the parent who has switched, or on some rides you get a ticket that allows 2 riders, eg Crush and RNR Coaster, both in the studios.

We've had 2 on Big Thunder Mountain, but never needed more on anything else. The CM's at the ride entrance will keep you right, but not sure if they'll allow 4.

Just one buddy would be nice so they don't have to go in alone...

When we went in April we baby switched most of the rides and it was always 2 riders - it was great and I highly recommend using it as often as possible!

We were just there this past week. We had to do the swap for Soarin' as my youngest two were too small. My husband and oldest went on the ride and I got a special swap ticket that I could use for me and one other person. When they were done, I took the swap ticket and my oldest and we went together while my husband waited with the littles. It worked out perfectly.

That sounds like good news then, they won't have to ride alone.

I'm a little puzzled by Franziska's reply...there's no Soarin' at DLP, is there? That would be awesome!

In our experience, DLP allows TWO people and no more to go the second time using the baby swap ticket. This is a problem for my family, with two big kids and one little one...the two boys ride first with dad, then when it's my turn to ride, they have to fight it out over who gets to go again. We prefer WDW's system. Still, it's better than having to wait twice! :thumbsup2
