Well here we go my first DLP trippe!

A little background to this trip. I love Disney and my hubbie doesn't :confused3 Any how he convinced me that he just had to have a brand new car last year....so I just happend to convince him that a fisrt class all the way trip was in order...fair deal I thought :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

Day 1.
Our travels begin on Monday the 13th March. We dont actually leave till tomorrow, but we decided to spend the night up in the "Smog" at the travel inn at county hall on the southbank. The room was clean tidy and functional..thats all ...and resonable...ish at £92 for the night for 2 of us. The excellant thing about this hotel is that is literally 2mins walk from the eurostar station, easy for that early morning train appointment.
So we dropped the bags to the room and next thing we know the fire alarm is activated.... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 ...So we grab our coats as stuff and head out into the city. We ended up at Earls Court at the Ideal home show.... without being too blunt we found it boring and a ripp off at £23 for the two of us! It's now around 5pm so we hop on and off some tubes up to piccadilly circus. And then we walk towards leicester Sq. We stop at TGI Fridays for dinner. Its packed in her considering its a Monday night. We wait at the bar for 15mins for a table. We order Jack daniels shrimp and chicken fingers as our main courses. We skip the starters to save room for dessert, a very evil chocolate brownie concocsion...Tasty though! We then head back to the hotel for a good nights sleep.

Day 2
We wake at 7am and clear up and pack the case. We check out and walk to the station. We arrive by 8am...Tooooo early to check in! SO we grab a cup of coffee and wait. Eventually we get called and join a que. Now my only complaint about eurostar...the queing area for check in and security is just not big enough and the ques go at funny angles. Once through all that rigmorale! We spot a nice shirt shop and pick up a couple for hubbies work (Buy one get one free!). We grab a coffee from costa and then we get called to our train....Next stop DLP! We travelled first class and thought it was wonderful, big seats and a hot breakfast served at your table. Today for breakfast we had cheesy omelette, beans, tomato and a sausage..With a yogurt, croissant and juice.
Next thing I know we are in DLP :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
We decide to bypass the baggage service as we only have one case and head straight for the hotel. On this trip we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel in the Castle club...(When I said first class all the way i meant it...that car was expensive!) We are greeted at the main reception and identified as CC guests , at which point a very nice luggage assisant appears to help with our cases and to escort us up to CC. We check in, none of this standing at the desk we get to sit down in nice leather chairs and we are explained all the details of the parks and CC. We also recieve our VIP Fast Passes...Very useful! Our room wasn't quite ready so we made use of the lounge. Free soft drinks on tap here all day from 7am till 11pm, there's also a full bar service if you want to pay for it. We decide it would be rude not to have a drink so we order a tea and coffee, all served to our table.
We get to our room 15mins later room 2426 with views over fantasia gardens the disney village and Disney Studios.

We unpack and catch a quick 40 winks before heading out to dinner. Tonight we head for the beaver Creek Tavern at the Sequoia Lodge. We both order the trio, which consists of a starter buffet follwed by a main course and then a dessert buffet. For main course I have pasta and Simon has a burger. The buffets are well stocked and the choice is plentyful. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat at DLP. The bill comes to 60.30 Euro inculding beer for Simon and Water for me.
We head back to bed and find that the beds have been turned down and a nice little card has been left with tomorrows weather forcast on it...

everytime I read a trip report it just make me want to go back even more(which is a good thing)

Sounds like a top-class holiday. We stayed at the DLH a week ago - and our room looks exactly the same as yours except for the wallpaper!! But it sounds like you had that something special extra in the CC service. How nice to be pampered:)

Sounds like a brilliant start to your trip- and your room had a lovely view princess:

Sounds fantastic...I aim to be a first class traveller once the kids have flown the nest...until then it's the holiday inn for us, so it's great to get a preview of our life to come!!

I never got chocolates at my standard room at the Santa Fe :( :rotfl: :rotfl2:
