We just returned from a quick 2 night AP4 rate stay. We reserved a 2queen + daybed room with a theme park view, concierge level. Check-in took 25 minutes with no one in front of us, this was arriving at 6:30pm on a Sunday night. The reserved room was not available, no upgrade was executed. In fact, they tried to have us take a 2 dbl romm without the daybed and again without the theme park view. Needless to say, we were not pleased. We ended up in a room on the 9th floor facing the pool-hard to see fireworks from there! These rooms are in need of serious demolition. As we approach our room, we see a huge hole in the wall near ceiling level in the hallway. In our room were the filthiest glass and mirrors you will ever see. Our room had only 1 phone and the only button that worked on it was the "0". Every predial and independent number button except the "0" rang busy.
We ended up switching rooms the next day and after having to check our bags with bell services, ended up being moved directly across the hall. We were assured by the staff that this room would be clean and it was better than the first room, except for the glass sliver in the carpet in fron of the daybed. We also thought the water leak stains in the ceiling were a nice touch.
Housekeeping appears to be challenged, as they were cleaning rooms when we arrived on Sunday evening and were cleaning late on Monday evening. Too bad that the room service carts remain in the hallways for so long. We had room service Sunday night and the cart of dishes was still there on Monday night at 10:00pm. The room rates do not match the level of service at this hotel.

Which floor were you on and in which building (just to be specific).

Sorry you had a less than expected experience. I've stayed there twice in the last 4 months and never had a room/hallway look like that, but I would be unhappy if I did. I almost always get a survey from Disney after I get home asking me how my stay was; if you do, then please let them know of your unhappiness. Otherwise nothing changes and management doesn't address issues with vigor.

If you are referring to the Disneyland Hotel, I'm sorry your stay was not pleasant. When we were there, our room was facing the pool and it was great.

FYI, they will be demolishing and completely redoing the DLH in the next couple of years.

We were on the 9th floor of the Dreams building. Why did they change the building names? It was strange, they change the names but don't update the building names in the room resort directory.
