I just got off the phone with a Disney CM. He told me that all of the rooms facing DTD upper level in Dreams Tower are not confirmed completed. Which essentially means you my or may not get a refurbished room, depending on availability. On other websites it says it is done, they are obvioulsy working in the Wonder tower right now. He says they are all being worked on right now in sections.:confused3 Does anyone know the facts here?
On another note. I was initially going to stay at the GC, but my 7 year old really wants to see the Neverland Pool once more while it still is the Neverland Pool. For those of you wondering about the pool closures it does look like the Neverland will be open until the other Monorail Pool area is completed. Which means if going this Fall you will still have the opportunity to use the Neverland Pool one more time. At least that is the info. I was given.

Wonder is being worked on in sections. Part of the tower is open and the other is getting work done. The dream tower to me, at least the outside seemed complete. Perhaps there is internal work being performed. I'd recommend trying for renovated room.

Thanks. I thought it was complete also. I did upgrade tp a room only upper level resort view. He did say that guaranteed the Dreams Tower with a DTD view. I just hope the rooms are all renovated by the end of November.

We did an upgrade to a lower level resort view room - we are hoping for the renovated - they didn't sound too sure and I was thinking that tower was done.

Well I just got off the phone again. This CM said, that the other CM was new and didn't have the facts 100%.
She said the Dreams Tower is 100% done. But she also said, it is ONLY a strong request for DTD view when you pay the extra $$$. That every resort upper level view is initially considered a pool view. The info. can be very confusing from CM to CM and the website actually gives you the option to request resort view as opposed to pool view. The word resort is a tricky one.
Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know what I was just informed of.
Hope this doesn't confuse anyone.

I stayed in the Dreams tower last week and it was a 100% done to my knowledge. The first night I was stuck in the Magic tower room and it was pretty bad. You name it, it didn't work right, was worn out, or just plain dirty. The next morning I got switched over to a DTD view room on the 4th floor and it was fantastic! Truly beautiful room and the Disney touches were everywhere.

FYI, the construction was moving along pretty fast on the Wonder tower section facing the pool. You could see the workers fitting in the new glass in some sections and the sound jack hammers, etc, was easily heard.

This is all interesting to us because we have booked an Upper Level Resort view. We would like to be in the Dreams tower overlooking Downtown Disney.
The CM said there was no guarantee we would be in the Dreams tower and that the other towers had "Resort Views" for some rooms.
I plan to call and review what our preferences are a few days before we arrive.
We will arrive about 2 pm so not that early unfortunately.

Just returned from premium view in Dreams tower. Rooms are complete. If you requested Dream Tower they will try to honor your request, depending on when you asked for it. I was told "first come, first serve basis". We had rooms 2755 and 2759 on the 9th floor---awesome panoramic view of Disney from Paradise Pier, Grand Californian, Downtown Disney, and parts of DIsneyland. Saw fireworks from our room and listened to the music on channel 47 on our TV. That was great! The renovated rooms are worth gettng. I have a back problem, and after the first night, my back felt great! Those beds are lethal---I never had problems getting up early before--this trip I just wanted to languish in that bed!!!! you've been warned.

Thanks Disney Fool that is great info. It is so nice to have comfortable beds. Sounds like your view was awesome too.
