Can anyone who has stayed at the DLH please tell me the kind of things included on the list of Resort Activities for the Week?

Has anyone taken the tour of the DLH or the GC? What do the tours show you and how long are they?

My DH and DS(7) are looking for activities to keep them busy while I am at a conference. Then we will do the "Disney stuff" together. They plan to visit the Angels team store and see the stadium (no stadium tours available then :sad1:). They will also be visiting DTD, especially ESPN Zone, riding the ART shuttle to see a little bit of Anaheim, and checking out the Block at Orange. Of course they will play at the DLH pool and :drive: the Jungel Cruise boats. Can anyone offer any other suggestions?

Also, how is the dinner at Goofy's Kitchen? All Ears lists the meats as Carved Roasted Prime Rib & Fresh Catch of the Day, but their menu is not very detailed. Are their other main dishes too? And how is the food quality? I know a lot of what you are paying for is the character interaction. But would you eat there if there were no characters? :confused3

Goofy's for dinner is our favorite meal while we're at DLR. The Prime Rib is out of this world. There are several other entree options which have changed every time we go. Something Italian, something Mexican, something continental, something chicken- lots of variety. We so prefer this over breakfast. I have a hard time paying so much money for breakfast food when we are not big morning eaters. They also offer a 10% AAA discount. Cocktails are available- DH likes that!
Also, be prepared as they will take your picture with Goofy and sell you a package

The only time I've ever received an activity schedule at DLH was when we stayed concierge. For concierge they had an activity for kids that involved a pirate treasure hunt around the hotel grounds. The kids had to look for clues which led them to their eventual destination, and they all had to work together. This was only offered one day of the week, I think it was Saturday.

I enjoyed eating dinner at Steakhouse 55 which is right next to Goofy's Kitchen. Goofy's was ok, but not my favorite. If I want a nice dinner I go to the Steakhouse.

:thanks: ballarinamom and biolabetty! Steakhouse 55 sounds like a better option to me.
