I know that the Review threads are for review only. But you can not start a new thread if your question is referring to a picture.
I hope that I don't get a massage like "Please ask personal questions in a PN" if I change the name of the thread now to "DLH question to Disneyadore" ;-)
Disneyadore has posted some pictures on the DLH review thread and I wanted to know if they were taken in a Castle Club room as there was a DVD Player and Nespresso machine on the pictures.
Marcus,
I found this website and on here it says that Castle Club rooms feature a DVD player, although I can find no mention of the coffee machine

Oh yes please!!BTW, I have just started editing a video tour of the Disneyland Hotel and its Castle Club - I shall put up a post once it's done.
Hi
The link that you kindly posted is for my site. How cool is that?!That's very cool! Thank you.
I can confirm that there are Non-Regional DVD players (they'll play DVDs from any region) in all of the Castle Club rooms.
I can also confirm that there AREN'T any tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms - it's the only thing, IMO, that's missing from the otherwise excellent rooms. Although they do have a fridge in the form of a mini bar and whilst it's well stocked there is enough room to put your own stuff in - well, we always seems to manage!
I would like to say though that I do mention in that section the lack of in-room tea/coffee making facilities. It's in the last paragraph of the ROOMS section:
"Whilst the rooms are excellent they are missing tea/coffee making facilities so take a travel kettle and some tea bags if you want tea in your room or, alternatively, call room service or pop into the Castle Club lounge for free tea, coffee and soft drinks all day. Milk is available to buy in cartons from the hotel's shop on the 1st floor near the restaurants."

In the meantime, if anyone does have any specific questions about the Disneyland Hotel and its Castle Club then do please ask. We've stayed their many times now in varying types of rooms. The last time that we were there was August '08.

Well I don't know how you got this information but we sure had coffee and tea facilities in our room.![]()

They had a special cart loaded whit coffee, tea, sugar milk and everything you could need for making coffee. A very nice guy came and checked every day what you had used and replaced it. [/IMG]
Hi Patrick![]()
Loved the attention to detail on your website.
Hi Disneyadore
I concede in the light of indisputable evidence!
The only thing that I can think of is that this is either a facility they did a long time ago and have since stopped or it's a very recent thing because we've stayed in the Castle Club 5 times in varying types of rooms/suites (Apr '04 Jnr Suite, Aug '05 Tink Suite, Jan '06 Park View CC room, July '06 2xCC rooms and Aug '08 2xCC rooms) and we've never had a coffee machine like that in our room!
So, when was your photo taken? Recently I hope because that means they've improved the rooms further. Or are they improving...?!! I'm not sure.
Tea or coffee from a paper cup with plastic spoons and UHT milk (as shown in your photos) doesn't sound very appealing! It's not very 5 star is it?!! It's more Kwik Fit waiting room!! In fact, the more I think about it the more ghastly I think it is. Really, what were they thinking?!!! The hotel management had better think that through again. If a B&B can provide a kettle, china cups, proper spoons, tea, coffee and fresh milk then I'm sure the Castle Club can too. Or am I being unreasonable?
We'll stick to taking our own travel kettle, mugs and tea bags from home and buying milk from the shop on the 1st floor or just go to the CC lounge and get myself a cup of whatever from there and take it back to the room. At least, that way, it's in a china cup and made with proper milk.
Anyway, please do let me know if this is a recent development or not so I can update the info on my site.
Thanks
Patrick
This was last December. I don't know if its in every room but ours had this facility.
To be honest We did not use it. We tried but the coffee and hot coco in the lounge tasted fare better.
Maybe next year when George Clooney goes with the Nespresso we like it mutch more.![]()

We stayed in a Junior Suite in the Disneyland Hotel in August 2007 and over New Year just gone and on both occasions we had Nespresso coffee making facilites in the room. On both occasions we also had Disney branded cups and saucers and on both occasions we didn't use them prefering either to have something in the Castle Club lounge or in the parks.
