I have a friend who just got back from the DLH. I'm not sure if it's always this way, but she said it was super crowded. I'm hoping it will calm down this winter. She said there was another pool at the same hotel (there are two) that was way less crowded. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. It sounds like one is more little kid friendly.
We just got back from 6 nights at the DLH and my biggest disappointment was that we never went to the pool! My kids are both year round swimmers and they are currently on their 3 week break from swimming so I guess they wanted to stay away from the water! But, I missed it!
The cove pool is right outside the workout facility. It's more of a "normal" non-themed pool. I noticed when we were there that there were a couple women people doing water aerobics. It's not really a lap pool but if you wanted to swim laps, it would be easier in that pool since it doesn't seem to get busy. There is a sand volleyball court which got pretty busy with teenagers in the afternoon. Even all those teenage girls playing volleyball couldn't get my DS to come to the pool!
The other pool is great for kids with the Peter Pan theme and the slide. My boys used to love going to that pool to play but I guess they've outgrown it (and spend too many hours in the water working during the rest of the year!)
