Hi,
Hubby and I are going to DLH for our anneverary with our 3 year old.
It has been a long time since we stayed there (10 years). Last time we had a limo from the airport to DLH and could take our two bags.

This time we will ahve a lot of baggage (thanks to the three year old) and will be driving. Do we park and try to haul over all of our stuff or can we pull in, unload then park?? Any suggestions??

Also I have heard two different things about parking costs when staying there. Some people say parking is included in the cost but a CM on the phone said it is $13 a day which is a "resort fee" Can anyone tell me?

Thanks!

uh bump? Everyone is so helpful here, I was hoping someone might have an answer to this question. Especially the money part as we want to factor it into the trip budget.

What I do know is that you can pull up and drop off everyone and everything then park. The bell person will get you a cart to load everything up. I do not remember what Disneyland Hotel was like as for as guests parking while checking in. YellowRainPoncho will be around later and can answer everything for you.

Thanks Laurie! :)

Pull up, unload with a bellhop, and then one of you can park. Let bell services know you would prefer to take your own luggage up, if you don't want to tip them for bringing it up to the room. We've always had them bring it up on a cart.

Parking in included in the resort fee for the $13/day. There is self parking that is included, and valet for an additional charge on top of the resort fee.

On top of the cost of the hotel (if you booked hotel only) they should have told you about the resort fee, which is $12 plus taxes on that, which covers parking, internet, and a newspaper each week day.

If you booked a package, the resort fee is generally hidden inside the cost of the package, so you won't pay extra. But if you booked hotel only, you will need to add that cost to each day of your stay (and they should have informed you of it).

We have only stayed at Paradise Pier Hotel so far, but we just pull up, one person goes in to check in (and get the parking permit) while the other unloads the car. Then the one goes and parks, and either the other (plus kid) waits, or puts the bags with Bell Services. Our last trip we left it with the Bell people b/c we checked in at something like 6am, so that we could partake in Magic Morning that day, and they didn't have our room ready until 3pm or so anyway.

To add what the ladies said...

Parking at the Disneyland Hotel is included in Walt Disney Travel Company packages. If you have a room-only reservation, then you will be charged a daily resort fee, which is $12 per day, or $13.80 including tax. This covers parking, daily weekday newspaper, use of the fitness center, and internet.

There is temporary parking at the Disneyland Hotel, so when you get to the hotel, and reach the parking lot guard, just let him know that you are going to check in. He'll let you go on through, and you can drive up to the entrance to unload your car. You have the choice of having the bellhop take your luggage, or taking it in yourself. You can park in the temporary parking lot close to the hotel entrance, if you would all like to check in together.

When you check in they will give you a paper to put in your windshield, and then you can self park in the long-term parking. If you choose to have the valet park your car, it will be an additional $17 per night.

Hmmmm, ok well I booked a Disney travel vacation, hotel, tickets, and more. No one said anything about a resort or parking fee.
When I called a couple of weeks after booking with some general questions is when I asked about parking and she said it was $13 a day as a "resort fee" Guess third time is the charm as I will call back again and ask, lol.

If you booked a package, and it sounds like you did, then there will be no additional parking charge.

Bumbershoot, I was posting at the same time you were - just took me longer. lol
