DLH Memory Wall?

Let me start with the topic of the thread the OP wanted to hear about.

A while back I read something about the things on the wall. I can't remember if this was just what someone thought or sourced from somewhere that is somewhat official. IIRC it is going to be saved for when a new area can make use of it. Maybe related or said somewhere altogther different somone else said those items were going in CCT. Of course there were plenty of rumors about CCT that never materialized.

You can look at historical documention and find Walt built his park for his daughters and us to enjoy with our families. He built WDW so he could build an utopian urban center called Epcot, with concessions from Florida in exchange for building DL2 there. WDW was built to capture and profit off the new DL in ways he couldn't in Anaheim.

To add he ALSO wanted a park that was closer to the east coast population centers, europe and S.A. Disney corp new it would be a huge draw and many of his assistants were chartered to try and bring the park into being at as low of cost as possible. The reason for all the dummy corps. The rides were actually not upgraded much from their perspective counterparts to keep the costs down. I think the origanal crew were really dumb founded when Walt passed because my of their sugesstions he did not like when it came to DL, they did DL the way he wanted even though some though it would not work. He was ahead of his time and visionary mastermind when it came to how things should work and appeal to the public. Nuff said

Thanks for your response.... I hope it shows back up somewhere. I'd hate to see it lost to the public.

Me too, of course here and there you can find antique Disney memorabilia. I'm sure if they don't use it it will find it's way to the Disney Archives and they will take care of it for us until it finds a proper place.

If anyone is wondering what this special wall is, I dug up some pictures.

This is my first post, but I was so excited I wanted to share this, and hope I'm doing it right. I just saw the memory wall on February 2, and was excited because after reading this thread I was not expecting to see it on this last trip. I had never gotten around to looking for it on previous trips and felt bad after reading this thread, thinking I may never see it. We went to look at things around the DLH and what a surprise when I turned a corner and there was the memory wall! At least it is the wall that looks like the pictures in this thread. I had my husband take several pictures of it. There were also other historic pictures in the same hallway of the DLH from many years ago, celebrities visiting DL, etc. This is in the hallway coming out from Goofy's Kitchen going toward the lobby in the Fantasy Tower.
