Hi all,

We are travelling to dl next year to celebrate our anniversary and are looking at staying at the fairy tale suite at the Dlh. Any info or advice would be much appreciated. I know it includes concierge privileges and had heard that there are other perks (priority parade seating etc) as well. Also doesn't anyone know how long we have access to the concierge lounge on checkout day (our flight doesn't leave lax until 8pm)

:)

Call hotel directly for availability and cost. It varies and when we had concierge service, it was available (lounge) up until our checkout time. Best option is to call and ask.

I've had the honor of staying in the Fairy Tale suite and it was the most magical experience EVER!! The room is gorgeous and has many fun, surprise features! Yes, the room comes with priority seating for the parade and Fantasmic....maybe WOC also, but we didn't use that one. I'm not sure how long you will have privileges at the lounge. You have to use your room key to get in, so I would think when you check out you're card wouldn't work any longer to let you in. I'm not sure though. but I DO know you will will have the best time ever and you won't even want to leave your room!! LOL.

I LOVE that you say this was an honor! I would look at it that way also :) ... you emanate Disney happiness!

Have a wonderful anniversary ..... and hope to see a trip report about how wonderful it was.

Prices for the Fairy Tale Suite vary widely--I think I've heard as low as $700(??) up to over $1k--depending on the season. And while it's not always reserved, if you're planning on going during peak season on the weekend, I would try to get it reserved sooner rather than later!

It really was an honor to stay in the suite, and I will cherish that Disney memory forever!! There aren't too many things that top that magical weekend. Happy anniversary lillibet123!! I hope all your dreams come true and you get to stay in the suite for your special trip!:)

I just called and its available for that weekend (yay). Its pricy (almost $1300/night in off season) but I think its worth it for our special day (we've had a really hard year). Thanks for all the advice and I hope its as amazing for us as it was for you! When I called they mentioned that concierge was included, but I forgot to mention the priority seating etc.Did they give you something special when you checked in that allowed the seating (a special pass or something). Also.. where is the priority seating for fantasmic?

Thanks so much for all the info and tips. Please keep them coming!!!!!

I'm testing my memory here, but I believe we had a special pass for the Fantasmic priority seating. You don't get an actual chair to sit in, but the roped off area is on steps, center stage, and there weren't a lot of people in the area. It was nice being able to show up right before the show and not have to wait ahead of time for a spot.

Your experience will be nothing short of magical!!pixiedust: They treat you like royalty when you're a guests at the suite. If there's anything you need, they're there within minutes to help you.

While there might be a special pass, access to this viewing area is usually controlled by a CM with a guest list. The OP should contact DLH about making advanced reservations
This viewing area is adjacent to Lafitte's Anchor :goodvibes

Hi all,

:)

The time we stayed in the FT Suite we were allowed to sit in the VIP Viewing Section at Fantasmic. I can't remember if it was because we had the passes and knew the CM Chris who was working that area, or if it was because of the passes alone. But it's THE BEST spot to watch Fantasmic so make sure you ask when you check in if you can use the passes for the VIP Section Seating. You also get the Reserved seating for the Fireworks at the top of the railroad station. It's best to do the Fireworks first then take the train over to Fantasmic and catch the second show.

The Priority Seating for the parade is down by IASW in a roped off area. Great viewing and the characters tend to come over to you in that spot. You can request chairs from the CM there.

If you explain to the CM working in the concierge lounge that you will be checking out at 11 but not leaving until later in the afternoon they may be nice enough to give you a "dummy" key that will let you in the rest of the day.

Enjoy!! :yay:

BTW- when we stayed in late 2012 it was approx $2800/night so you're getting a GREAT rate! :dance3:

This just came to me....the room card they will issue you should tell the cast member that you are staying in the dream suite. I think that's what we showed them for priority seating. I could be wrong though. My brain is getting old and foggy. LOL! I know we didn't make prior reservations because we just decided on a whim to go watch Fantasmic at the last minute. Maybe DizMe can remember.

You're talking about the queen of brain fog here! I think that they told us we could make the priority seating reservations and we did that at the concierge. I'm thinking they called and made our reservations and we just had to show up and give our names. I could be completely wrong, though!

I wish we *had* stayed in the dream suite, LOL, but the Fairy Tale Suite was awesome :goodvibes. We went next door to the concierge lounge the first night, grabbed glasses of champagne and some goodies, and went back to our room to watch the fireworks! Wow, it was amazing! And don't forget your tiara :)

Party in the Fairy Tale Suite!

Oh ya! I meant the Fairy Tale Suite...not the Dream Suite! SEE, I told you my brain is getting old and foggy! LOL!! So far I've only had dreams about the Dream Suite! LOL!!

Well, I found out more information from this thread than I did from the call I just made to DLR. :rolleyes1 If anyone has any additional information or anything recent, I would appreciate hearing about it! I am going to try calling again over the weekend hoping for a different CM.

The "Guest Relations" seating for Fantasmic (which you should confirm is included with this suite) is now seated in chairs (near the left light tower, the area previously used by the desert package).
