DL Vets - How does this schedule look?

Due to a full pool day, a 7 day trip but only 5 day hoppers, and a VIP tour, I'm obsessing more than usual on if I'm planning my days optimally. What do you DL vets think?

I'm still a little unsure of where to schedule WOC/Fantasmic, but I know I want to do at least one of them on Day #2 because the VIP guide can get me seats. Probably Fantasmic because I haven't seen it before. Will probably try to do the other one a different day.

Going are: me, DH, DD14 and DD10. My kids still love the Fantasyland rides but also all the big coasters, etc. We won't do character meals or meet and greets.

Friday, August 8 – Day #1
Flight arrives into LAX at 10 am
Check in at GCH by noon
Arrive in DL by 2 pm (this is an EE day for DCA)
Leisurely day in DL, grab any FPs still available, do 4pm parade
early evening - back at GCH by 9

Saturday, August 9 – Day #2
EMH at Disneyland, 7am – 8am, do Fantasyland
Head to Frontierland for Jungle Cruise and Indy, done by 9
(Jungle Cruise and most of Fantasyland is not accessible through VIP)
Breakfast at River Belle Terrace or Carnation Café, done by 10
VIP Tour 10:30 – 4:30 (both parks)
Possibly get RSR evening FP
Back to GCH for a little late afternoon downtime

Evening in DCA
WOC – 9:45 pm and RSR
Park closes at 11

Or –
Fantasmic at 9 or 10:30
Ride late, parks close at midnight


Sunday – Day #3
EMH at DCA 8am (park opens at 9)
Half day pool, 2-6 pm, cabana at GCH
Return to DL in the evening (or DCA if we do DL evening on Saturday)
Possibly do fireworks at 9:25
Leave parks at closing (11PM DL, 10PM DCA)

Monday
Pool day at DLH, full day cabana rental (10-6)
Dinner somewhere in DTD

Tuesday - Day #4
EMH at DL – 8am
Spend the day at DL
Runner get RSR and WOC evening FPs if we haven't done WOC yet
Lunch at Blue Bayou around 2pm
Back to hotel around 4 for downtime in room
Evening in DCA
WOC at 9:45, parks close at 10

Wednesday – Day #5
Last day in parks
EMH at DCA, 8am
Half day in DCA – Possibly have runner get FP for Splash and/or Indy in DL at some point
Pixar Parade at 1PM
Back to hotel, cabana rental at GCH from 2-6
Evening in DL

Thursday – No tickets
Morning in DTD
Leave DL at 1:30 for 5:00 flight out of LAX

You guys arrive the day after we leave! I think your schedule looks fabulous! It looks like you guys have a great balance of park time and relaxing time and it seems like a great vacation. Also remember Indy and RSR have single rider lines, this will help out a lot if you are unable to get a FP or want a mid-afternoon ride when the lines are long

You have plenty of time to see and do everything a few times. Especially if you have the VIP. I would try to do the fireworks as early in the trip as possible. Plan the begining of your day like you have, but be flexible for rides that go down or anything else that can come up.

Isn't there a VIP tour area for Fireworks as well?

Don't worry about the EMH at DCA on arrival day. It has absolutely no impact at either park after an hour or 2 of opening.

Consider single rider for RSR, you can skip the FP runner or get an FP for something else.
