DL trip in January 2008... Fantasmic dessert party?

Hi all-

Out of the blue, DH announced that we will be going to Disneyland January 8-13th, 2008. He's already gotten the time off. I think he's trying to keep me from focusing on Christmas without my brother...

Anyhow, he and his mom did a Fantasmic dessert party some years ago, but he can't seem to remember the specifics. He couldn't find any information online. I'm hoping someone here might have the inside scoop! Contact or booking information, if available, would be great.

How sweet of your husband to plan a vacation during a difficult time.
The fantasmic dessert buffet is about to go through some changes that may or may not be permanent. The buffet up on the balcony is going to be discontinued and there will only be a reserved riverside seating section where you will be provided with a box of selected desserts. The cost for this is around $50 per person. You can book reservations 60 days before the date by calling disney dining. The number is on the sticky thread above with the dining information.

Has the date for booking the Fantasmic package changed now that they only do Riverside? I thought you could only book one month before?
