DL to LAX?

How long from DL to LAX by car? What route is best on a weekend morning? We're trying to decide if we should spend our last night closer to the airport or not. Thanks all!

Driving time is about 45 minutes. If your flight leaves in the morning, you shouldn't worry too much about traffic. If it's in the afternoon/evening, plan ahead and leave a bit sooner to account for weekend traffic. Sundays can be tough because vacationers return from either Vegas or San Diego. For freeway recommendations, I'm not too sure but you can probably take the:
5 North
605 South
105 West
and this will take you right to LAX
There may be a quicker and easier route but this is the one that comes to mind. Maybe some of the locals can chime in with a better suggestion...

No, there's also Long Beach Airport or there's John Wayne Airport in Orange County. These would be closer to DL than LAX.

<font color=navy>As Lap3 said, Orange County & Long Beach are closer to DL, but LAX typically has better deals because it's a bigger airport.

Orange County is the closest. Take 5 south to 55 west, and 405 south to get to the airport.

Long Beach is next - Take 5 south to 22 west, to 405 north to get to Long Beach.

To get to LAX you take the 5 north to the 91 west, 605 north, to the 105 west -- that's the fastest way to get to LAX. You can also take 5 north to 91 west to 110 north to 105 west. Orrr, you can take 5 north to 91 west to 405 north, and get off on Century Blvd (follow the signs).

(I live about 15 minutes from LAX, towards DL, so I drive those freeways all the time)
