We are thinking of hitting DL/DCA for a few days in July. We have only been one time prior in June '06. We arrived the day before the Pirates 3 Premiere so we missed several things and want to get back.

We are debating btwn pkg or separate. Also we have just joined DVC and although I know it is not the best use of our points, since we just gave them quite a bit of $ it would help with the cost.

We also have the Disney Visa as well and AAA.

It will be 5 total, 2 ad, 2 jr and one under 3.

Either DLH or GCH. Last time we split 2nts at each with a std at DLH and 1 br concierge suite at DGC. I am not opposed to a split stay again or part points but was leaning more towards DLH for the pool and b/c once the GCV opens, we'll most likely use our points towards a villa then.

Also, I read on mousesavers that it is unpublished but that you can use your unused days off a WDW tix for admission into DL. We have a ton of leftover days from old WDW packages that we haven't used since we have WDW ap's now. Anyone know if this is true? If it is, I was thinking we could use points for the rooms and our old tix and just pay for meals and souvies.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!:goodvibes

We are DVC members too and have used our points to stay at both the GCH and DLH, we're going to be staying at the DLH again in a few days!

I personally think it worth the points, but I'll be very glad when they get the GCV's doneI have not done it, but I believe several people on here have used WDW tix at DL (you can't go the other way though).

I'd use points to book the stay and see about switching the old WDW tix for new DL ones. Then you have basically "pre-paid" your stay, so all you'll need it food and souvies!

I am not sure what the process is for switching the tix over, as we usually always go to DL so we have AP's there. Maybe someone else here knows, or you could call/email DL and ask.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the reassurance!:thumbsup2 I still need to talk hubby into it but I figure if I go in with the well, we can use our points and our tix so it'll be really cost effective....

Of course, he knows me so well so we'll see what happens. We just got back from 11 days at WDW for spring break and had just joined DVC but no rooms available so we have had a lot of cash going out to the mouse lately.

Last trip to DL we did 2 nts std view at DLH and 2 nts 1br ste at GCH w/AAA discount on both. Love, love, love that you can use AAA on the suites at Disneyland. The only suite I've gotten at WDW with a discount is the garden suite at the Boardwalk Inn, which is one of my favorites!

You said you're going to WDW soon. If I can help at all, let me know. We've been on almost every type of trip possible there. Seen and done much of it. All resorts except Saratoga (going in the fall), Wilderness Villas, Pop, Sports and Caribbean Beach. We've done the room only, all dining plans and even splurged on Platinum Plans a couple of times. Done all deluxes and club/concierge levels. Stayed at all times of year including Easter and Christmas weeks. And last summer we did a 14 day blow out trip taking 27 family members for our 10 year vow renewal (where the pix in my sig is from)

I just saw a post that the WDW forums weren't friendly so I hope if anyone needs help, they'll feel free to ask. I'm definitely more knowledgeable on the World than the Land so I hope everyone here will help us plan a more efficient trip than our last one!

Thanks again!
Lisa
