DL September Hours

Noticed very interesting "off season" weekday hours just posted today. Monday and Tuesday 9/21 and 9/22 have DL open from 9 am - 10 pm. Wednesday and Thursday 9/23 and 9/24 have DL open from 9 am - 11 pm. This reflects longer hours than the week prior, with 10 am - 9 pm closes, as well as PTN and DL Forever.

Already great to offer all the night time spectaculars every night during Halloweentime. Later weekday hours are an additional plus.

I noticed this too! This is the week we are going so we are super excited about having longer hours than we originally anticipated!

We'll be there that week as well! I was so excited to see those extra hours added in this morning, especially since I've been so disappointed by Pirates being closed for our entire trip! It does make me wonder why though. I was thinking those days would have 'lower' crowds, equating to lessened hours...so perhaps Disney is expecting heavier crowds for some reason. Could be that the Halloween parties start the following weekend, so more people will be heading to the parks the days leading up to that.

I had the same thought. But I think I'm going to blissfully ignore that notion and just believe it is a special treat to September park-goers and has nothing to do with heavier than normal crowds.

I like your thinking! Nothing we can do about it anyway, so I'll be happy to use those extra hours either way!

I was very excited to see these hours. I immediately assumed that DLR must be expecting larger than average crowds. Either way, I will be thrilled to be there later into the evening.

I too was devastated that Pirates would be closed. Oddly enough, I was at Magic Kingdom earlier this year and only got to ride once. The Magic Kingdom version was having some major operational issues, necessitating its closure almost two full days I was there. Apparently not the year of Pirates for me.

Another quirk I noticed with the DL calendar on 9/20 was that DCA opens (regular) at 8 am (7 am EMH) and DL opens at 9 am. I cannot remember a time I visited when DCA opened earlier than DL (other than EMH). I remember the DCA 1.0 days when the hours were MUCH shorter!

Yes, also very happy to see this as i'll be there sun-wed that week! Did anyone else notice that on Sunday DCA opens at 8am but DL opens at opens at 9am?

I have been waiting for them to post this weeks hours. We will be there from the 23rd-26th.
