What are folks recommendations for a DL Restaurant for dinner and parade watching? Or is it much better on the street?

I guess Plaza Inn or Jolly Holiday might work. But honestly, you won't get a good view from any restaurant.

You're not going to get a good view from any restaurant. There will be people standing between you and the parade.

Carnation Café is also on the parade route with outdoor seating, but the view will not be great.

If the goal is to use your time waiting for the parade to also eat your dinner you can do it while sitting on the curb on Main Street. You can consume something easy like the super delicious corn dogs from the red wagon.

We've watched from a table at Jolly Holiday before. For the current parade, at least, we were able to see the floats, but not the walking performers. If it's not your only time to see the parade, it is a good way to get kids to sit still and actually eat :)
