For the FP runner. Say you want to be agressive on collecting fastpasses at DL.

Which order should you obtain FP in to acquire as many as possible in the least amount of time?

Well... to be real aggressive it is more important to get new FP every 2 hours then to worry so much about order.

That said... if the park is opening reasonable early and you want them for many different rides I would:

Opening... Get FP for a slower walkon... Buzz. 40 minutes later you get Indy or Space Mountain. Indy or SM again in 2 hours.

Splash tends to be a walk on in the morning so get FP then. Big thunder next.

After that... every 2 hours get a set. Busier days make sure to get another set to Indy & SP before they sell out.

Get Rogar Rabbit whenever you are near toon town. (dis-connected)

We tend to leave the park to eat lunch and I will do a DCA fastpass run then... usually soaring.

My wife can't ride Indy and it's my son's (and mine) favorite ride so I tend to get Indy FP 1st, ride it, get them after riding it. My wife will stock up on Buzz FPs at the same time.

We usually have so many FPs by afternoon that we quit getting them.

LoL!!!

Do the INDY fastpasses usually have a return time of less than two hours when you are getting them?

Andy, sorry but I would highly disagree with this statement. There is no way I would be getting Buzz FP before "the big 3" (Space, Indy, Splash). Buzz FP do not run out pretty much all day, but those 3 are usually gone by sometime in the afternoon/early evening. It's also much better to get FP for those 3 early because their lines grow faster than rides like Buzz or Big Thunder.

It also depends on when you visit. If you visit during a low crowd season, they may not even be running the Big Thunder or Buzz FP machines because they are unnecessary.

However, the Roger Rabbit trick is useful, but if you're going in the near future, Roger Rabbit will be closed anyway.

And to answer your question, it goes back to the second paragraph: it depends on when you visit. During busy times I have seen Indy FP return times of 4-5 hours in the future. I've also seen Indy FP return times between an hour and two hours. It's safe to say that if you get an Indy FP before noon, you probably won't have a return time of more than 2 hours in the future.

All that being said, here is the general consensus of the boards on what order to grab FPs:

1. Space (especially during Halloweentime)
2. Indy/Splash
3. Indy/Splash (Splash comes 2nd during warmer months, Indy comes 2nd when it's really not that warm)
4. HMH (when in season)
5. Big Thunder/Buzz
6. Autopia?? (FP here, you still have to wait quite a bit sometimes)

And then Roger Rabbit whenever.

At DCA:
(0.) World of Color
1. Soarin
2. Screamin
3. ToT/GRR
4. ToT/GRR (GRR 3rd or possibly 2nd during warmer months, like Splash)
5. Mulholland (which is closing soon anyway)

You guys are all so helpful!! :cool1:If everyone read all the info available on these boards, everyone would be pros! :woohoo:

I always have to balance getting FPs (at least order-wise) with not making DH run all over the park or creating too much backtracking later. DH doesn't mind going to get the FPs, but he will get grumpy if he thinks my type-A plan goes overboard.

So here's my "basic" plan, which follows the prevailing wisdom somewhat:

1. At entry, family heads for Peter Pan, DH gets FP for Space Mountain (8:05).
2. DH joins family and does Fantasyland rides and Matterhorn. When FP time opens (8:45?) DH goes to Thunder Mountain right around the corner
3. Sometimes we do ToonTown, or skip to the next step
4. Train from ToonTown to NO Square. Family eats snack/bathroom stop while DH gets FP for Splash (10:00?)
5. Tour in NO Square/Frontierland, maybe riding BTMM w/ FP
6. Get FP for Indy when window opens (11:30?)

So well before lunch, we have FPs for the big 4 without too much running around and can choose when/whether to go over to Tomorrowland to get FPs for Buzz or Autopia. This worked on a busy Friday in July.

It really depends on what you want to ride and how much. My goal with the 1st FP is to not wait in a FP line ( at opening... especially on MM days... it can be crowded at 1st) and to make sure I'm always able to get the 2nd set in 45 minutes. Also I balance wasting time walking from land to land just to get FPs against riding rides and collecting FPs as I go.

By getting FPs 1st on all the walk-on rides ( including 1 of the big 3 at opening ) I am getting FPs every 45-60 minutes as opposed to every 2 hours. By staying in one area I am maximizing both riding rides and getting FPs. I get tomorrowland FPs (buzz, SM) walking in/out of the park. I'll typically have 6 sets of FP (including DCA) and have ridden rides non-stop by lunch.

If the goal is to ride Space,Indy,Spash mutiple times throughout the day then it needs to be done differently. Space FP, ride Space, Indy FP ride indy. Ride Splash get splash FP. By the time you ride space and get over to indy its around 9:00 and you won't get your 3rd set until 11:00 and your 4th set after lunch.

You guys are so helpful! I will try some of these FP tips next week!
(especially for HMH & SPGG!)

For Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy I would DEFINITELY say get the FP first or very soon after opening.

Lat year we were there for a Magic Morning on a Tuesday and reached the FP machine just after 9 a.m. regular opening, behind the people who had been hanging around the end of MM to get a FP. We got ours and then the stampede from park opening hit on our way out -- half the people headed to ride, half headed to the FP machines. We waited outside by the big water ball for DH and the older kids, and I watched the FP times change like a stock ticker.

well here is a twist maybe you can help me with. My dh will be in a convention during the day. I will be going solo and then at night he will join me. I would like to get some duplicate sets so we can ride together in the evenings. Should I get Space and then another space when I can, etc.. BTW, we go Oct. 13-15.

I enjoy being the fast walker getting FP's. But, there are some rides we do not care about. So we start with what is important to us.

To do this you would want DH to enter the park in the morning with you to activate the ticket so you could get two fastpasses at a shot....
