DL on July 4th

My family will be in California over the 4th of July. How crazy do you think the crowds will be in DL during that period, especially given that it's a weekend and the anniversary celebration? If it's going to be crazy busy, we may end up in either LA or San Diego -- any advice on alternative July 4th festivities/fireworks? TIA!

Just my opinion but I think it's going to be crazy busy! The one good thing is that Deluxe and SoCal passes are blocked out for that weekend, so that might help a little. I'd still expect it to be crowded though.

4th of July is typically one of the busiest days in the parks. Being a Saturday, I would expect that will add to the already high crowds.
