dl on fourth of july

My family and i have never been to dl for the fourth of july, and we were wondering if they a special fireworks show for that night thanks.

Indeed there are special fireworks, the largest show of the year. A special addition to WoC with fireworks as well.

Because people watch fireworks on that day of the year and Disney puts on a super show the park gets increasingly busy as teh day goes on and can be very packed in the evening as people begin to stake out spots for the show.

We'll be at DL over the 4th too! Due to the crowds, we were thinking of skipping the parks at night...is there a good place to see the fireworks from outside the park? DD? GCH?

We've been there on the 4th before, it's crowded but not unbearably so...all APs except the Premium are blocked. They do run the patriotic fireworks all that week, so if you don't want to be in the park, you do have an opportunity to see the special show on other nights. It's a great show, we're going to be in Newport Beach on the 4th this year, we have debated going over to watch the fireworks from DTD too.

There is nothing like being in the parks.

You can see the high fireworks from all around the parks, though building and tree may obscure the view. A lot of people watch from the Esplanade between the parks. If you have take the parking Trams from DTD to the Mickey and Friends Garage and go up the escalator to the 5th level, the top, the veiw is very good.

A good option on the 4th is to watch WoC. The viewing area for WoC has a set capactity that is reached almost every night. It won't be worst on the 4th even if the rest of the parks are more crowded.

Seems to me the last few times I went over July 4th they did the same special fireworks show 2 or 3 nights in a row.

We went to DL on July 3rd in 2008 and 2009 and it was slow both times with short lines. On July 4th we went to DCA which was DEAD, walk on almost every ride, 15 mins for Toy Story. CM's said DL was packed but we never headed there. I assume now with WOC and Carsland opening both parks maybe packed this July 4th weekend.

I'm not sure how it will work this Summer with the 4th midweek. When the 4th falls on or next to a weekend, they usually ran the special show through the weekend.
