DL in May?

We are planning a trip to DL in May. We are looking at the week of the 14th. Does anyone know if there are any major events happening in May? We'd like to aim for a "less populated" week.

Yes. The POTC 3 movie premiere will be on May 19, which means there will be massive construction and congestion in the New Orleans Square area that week.

The Fantasmic show is down until June, and Splash Mtn is down until May 19.

Also Mother's Day can sometimes be busy, I think it's that weekend!!!

I like May for low crowds but nice weather. I would suggest staying away from the POTC premier and Memorial day if possible.

I think they start grad nights in mid may as well.
