DL in December?

How are the crowds on X-mas week? We would be in the parks the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of x-mas week. (x-mas is on that Wednsday). Are the crowds awful? And are all the rides usually open? We are thinking of coming out to see family for x-mas and would HAVE to see DLR while we are there!!!! TIA!!!!

We went one year the day after X-Mas for a few nights--be prepared for very large crowds. I think it probably was worst after Christmas thru New Years though.

The problem we had was we ran into the crowds coming into town for the Rose Bowl game. That year UCLA was playing Wisconscin. I have never seen so many people at DL--and we have been there many times during the summer on weekends!

I would still go to DL--since you will be in town visiting family anyway! Go early and be smart about how you tour the park and use fastpasses!!

P.S. It is fun to see all of the XMAS decorations and the parade! Most of the rides should be up and running--I don't think they do any major rehab at that time. Fantasmic may not be going during the winter though.

We went for NYE week this last year and it was more crowded than we could handle. However, the memory of the pain of the crowds is sort of like the memory a mom has about childbirth - I'm ready to go back! There's no place more exciting to me than DL on NYE!

Just to let you know, typically, Every night leading up to, and after Christmas (Oye Veh, especailly, after Christmas) is horrific, except for Christmas eve. I've gone that day for the past 4 years.
Tip: Watch Believe in Holiday Magic in front of Small World, there will still be snow, and you can then run over to Small World Holiday right after it.

Then again, there is something really really magical about snow on Main Street.

It's really your choice, more magical fireworks, or no line at small world, since it is blocked off and then reopened right after the fireworks.
