DL in December 2012....Specifically 5th-9th?

I want to surprise my DD for her birthday this year and take her to Disneyland. She will be turning 9.

Her birthday is on Dec 5, which is a Wednesday (I would take her out of school for a few days). I was thinking about going Dec 5-9. How crowded will that week be? I don't see the first week listed anywhere as being over crowded. We will also have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old with us.

My other choice would be Christmas Break. I was thinking the week after New Years, because i've read that it is crazy between Christmas and New Years.

Crowds will be low, not tiny, but low during the week, busy on the weekend.

If you go during Christmas Break, crowds are insane. The week with New Years will be between very busy and insance, many still on break. If you go after the following weekend, it will be offseason and empty. Lots of rehabs starting up.
