DL Hotel

In my opionion you should request the following... A Sierra Tower Room with two queen beds and a day bed. This will give you a very large room with a nice size bathroom that has a seperate small room with a toilet. If you request a King bed you can get assigned a smaller room. Rooms in the Bonita Tower are also large but have a regular bathroom with sink, toilet and tub all in one room. Rooms in the Marina tower are the smallest but have a compartmentalized bath.
Where you get assigned depends on what level of room you have reserved. They have citiview rooms and resort view rooms and themepark view rooms.
I booked the least room once and requested the sierra tower with two queen beds and a day bed and I got it. It was facing the inner courtyard with side view of the pool and I was right above the roof to Hooks Point Restaurant. It was still a fine room. :)

If you book a room in the Bonita tower you will have a chance to overlook the waterfalls and would be a somewhat "quieter" area of the hotel. Also how you pay is tiered. So they have one price point for the lower levels (more likely to be obstructed by landscaping) and another for higher levels (may give a better view of the fireworks). You can pay for a "standard" view or a "resort/pool" view. I believe that your requests are just that "requests" and not guarantees. This hotel is so beautiful you'll be happy no matter where you end up!

We had a standard view booked (AAA package). We were in the Marina tower which was very convenient to the pool and downtown disney as well as retrieving our car when we went out to dinner. We faced the front of the hotel and could see the top of Splash Mountain. The best part was being able to see the fireworks at night from our room. I think any location would be fine. DL is a great hotel.

This is our first time staying at the Disneyland hotel. We have a family of 8 and reserved a 2 bedroom Suite? Has anyone ever stayed in these and what are they like? How do you find out what tower you are in?

Thanks so much,
April :earboy2:
