We are booked for a 5 night stay at the Ramada Inn Maingate, For us to get into the cheapest DL resort hotel would cost another $800 dollars...for a stay at Paradise Pier. My question is..."Is it worth it for the few extra perks"?. our package already comes with early toontown entrance and one magic morning...and a character call....

I'm not knowledgeable on the distances between everything there, is it worth the $800 bucks to crash at the Pier? Is it that much closer? That much nicer? We are park people ( 2 adults 40's) so we would pretty much spend the entire day at the park. We wouldn't use any of the hotel pools...etc...we would book some meals there though.

any help appreciated.

I have stayed at both of those hotels. The Ramada is actually much, much CLOSER than PPH! I wouldn't switch at all. You already have the TTMM entrance with your package. The only thing you'd be missing out on is multiple MM's other than just the one included with your ticket. That's not worth $800 at all in my opinion! PLUS, Ramada has a free (very modest, but free nonetheless) continental breakfast. You can at least grab a danish or an apple before you head out. I'd enjoy the extra cash!

You can continue to check to see if the money difference decreases enough to make it worth it....
We have stayed at all three of Disney's hotels. There aren't $800 worth of perks that I know of.
Spend the $800 having fun on your trip.

I would not pay $800 to stay onsite, not unless it was a once in a lifetime trip and I was staying at the GCH. :) Spend the money on stuff at the parks, or save it, there's no need to stay at the PPH unless you can do it for a couple hundred more. :)

What is TTMM?

What is TTMM?

Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, ToonTown (which normally opens one hour after regular park opening) opens one hour early for those with tickets to this event. Tickets for MTTMM can be acquired by booking a package through Disney or another source, like Costco or AAA. They are part of the "package perks".

I agree with everyone else. It's not worth the extra $800.

You can still book meals at the hotels, and if you'd like, you can enjoy the lounge areas at the Disneyland Hotel (Trader Sams) and Grand Californian Hotel (Hearth Lounge).

Have a great trip. :)
