DL Hotel Discounts

Does anyone know if there is any chance of finding discounts to DLH for August? We're going to be there from Aug. 15 - Aug. 20th and I'd really love to stay there. Do they ever have good discounts for WDW AP holders at DL? We also have the Disney Visa and AAA.

No, you can not get a discount at DL with an AP from WDW. DL AP's offer the best discounts.

They do offer AAA discounts (10-20% depending if it's perk or value season/weekend). With Disney Visa, the discounts are usually only available when you book a package.

I know sometimes you can get good rates through Expedia, but they are only offered 2 weeks to a month before travel dates.

The best thing to do is call (714) 956-MICKEY and see what the different rates will be.

I just saw on Mousesavers that Disney does offer discounts with the Disney Visa, right it is only good through March, but August rates may come out closer to the summer.

A great site to check out is the get away today vacations website. I searched for the dates you are going and the cheapest hotel for 6 days and 5 nights is $679 and that includes 2 adult 3 day park hopper passes.

I am a huge AAA travel fan. When I first started planning trips to DLH I called WDTC and after asking questions I had from reading these boards, they told me to go through AAA. AAA offered the exact same package with 10% discount! Then, trying to reach a local office and not getting the knowledgeable answers I was looking for, I finally called the Costa Mesa office who were open on Saturdays. I found the greatest agent and now use her exclusively for my DL vacations. We can't get the enhanced fastpass perk because we all have APs, it's still worth it for all the other perks. I highly recommend this avenue. I don't know if Disney Visa has a travel agency it is associated with but if it is WDTC, weigh the discount you get with the AAA discount. The difference is that you get a blue WDTC lanyard and WDTC pin as opposed to the red AAA lanyard and AAA pin, and in addition AAA has the enhanced fastpass feature if you buy the tickets with the package. Remember, there is a 2 day minimum stay for the package. EE doesn't matter currently because you get that by staying at the resort, but that may change at any time.
