I'm planning on a solo DL trip in November at the tail end of a conference I'm attending and was considering upgrading my current WDW Annual Pass to the Premier Pass that would get me into DL also (the price of park tickets and the cost of the upgrade are pretty much the same).

My question is whether with the Premier Pass I could possibly get a discount on a hotel and what the usual discount would be. I'm struggling between getting a good neighbor hotel or staying at PPH. I'd like to do PPH if I could get a deal. Also, how necessary is it to have reservations at some of the TS restaurants? Similar to WDW, or does DL tend to have more availability for walk-ups (especially since it'd be just me)?

My dates are November 14-17 (Wed to Sat - leaving on Sat in the morning).

I've been to WDW more than I can count but I'm totally new when it comes to DL but can't pass up a chance to go visit since I'll be so close. Thanks for the help!

Yes, there are discounts with the AP, but they vary depending on season and availability. I looked up your dates with my AP and was quoted $725 for your dates (without tax) in a standard room. Then I looked up rack rates for the exact same room and was quoted $805 (without tax). So there is a discount, although looking at the AP calendar, you are paying rack on Friday and getting a discount Wednesday and Thursday only.

HTH! :goodvibes

OP: Can you get room rates or tickets through Disney for your conference? When we went to DL for a conference in August, both the room rates and tickets prices were very attractive. -- Suzanne

Include the discounts on food and merchandise, and it seems like a hotel discount would just be gravy!

You can call to get the AP rates even without an AP. Some CMs don't realize this; if you get one of those CMs, end the call and call back.
