DL Dining in March

It has been a year and a half since our last trip to DL. I know there have been lots of changes since then, and I haven't kept up with the latest. We are going to Disney during a very high volume time of year, so it is important I plan as much as possible ahead of time. What are the latest restaurants that have opened last year? The only definite I have so far, is Steakhouse 55 for dinner one night. I'm also considering the Goofy's Kitchen character meal, which we did in the past & loved. I wanted to do the Carnation Cafe, but someone said it is no longer there. The more sit-down meals we do, the better, since my husband's company is paying for everything (it's a work trip). Of course, I'll have to pay for whatever meals we take when he isn't with us during the day- he will be in training then.

We're going in March too, toward the middle of the month. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be so busy then, but I'm planning as if it will be!

Carnation Cafe isn't 'gone', but it is temporarily closed for renovations, so you won't be able to eat there during your trip.

Our favorite sit-down restaurants are Storyteller's Cafe (for dinner) and Cafe Orleans (for lunch or dinner). You could also try for WIne COuntry Trattoria in DCA, or perhaps even a WOC dining package. We really enjoyed our WOC meal at Ariel's last summer.

No matter the crowd level, I know you'll have a great time!

If its just you and hubby, go to Napa Rose one night. And call Napa directly and ask for a chefs counter seating. My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary at the chef's counter the past two years and it was amazing both years.

Let the chefs surprise you. Its the same price as the Vintners Fixed Price Menu.

A lot of the counter service restaurants have new menus since you were last there. We really enjoyed the Big Thunder BBQ in Disneyland for a sit down restaurant. Really good food and cute entertainment, for a decent price! We also had a really yummy meal at Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel, it's counter service, but a bit nicer than the ones in the park. I agree with PP, the WOC dinner at Ariels was also pretty good.

If you want your DH's company to splurge, definitely visit Napa Rose!
