So when I go to Dl next I have begun a list of things we want to do. If we do not go to WDW. I will spurge at DL.

Hoping all the new frozen stuff will be up in Dec still.
We want to try an eat at CC
We want to see the Gingerbread house at GC. I do hope the rumors I heard about having a real Stine for hot coco were true. I don't know but that would be cool.

The elf steins from last year were not steins. I had real steins from Germany.
Also what other tours are there?
If the Christmas tour isn't going on would any others maybe get seats for Parades or FW?
Also one more question. Has FP+ begun at dl yet? I read it would be. Not sure when though.
When is the candle light thing again? I am hoping we will miss it just because I have been there once and it was so crowded from all the extra guests. :santa:

Here is the Disneyland Tours website of what tours are available.

The Holiday Time at Disneyland tour is the one that has the reserved seats for A Christmas Fantasy parade. But with the possibility of now ACF parade not happening this year due to the 60th anniversary, we don't know how this will impact the Holiday tour. The other way in order to get preferred viewing spots or seats for the parades or FW is doing the VIP tour.

Right now, the DLR is not doing the FP+.

The Candlelight Processional happens on the first weekend of December. This year in 2015, it should happen on the 5th and 6th.

Oh good. I should only be there the 6-11th if my dates go the way we want. Meaning I only have to deal with it one day.

I also looked at welcome to Disney land tour- any one know what parade or show they go to? Also what reservation dinning they make and what sweet treat was given?

The Walk in Walt's tour, what place do they eat at? Also do they still take guests to Walt's apartment.

If you mean the additions to Storybook Canal, I think those will be there. I think the Frozen play at Fantasy Faire may still be presented, but it may be presented in rotation with Tangled and Beauty and Beast (instead of exclusively like it is now). The Frozen Fun over in DCA has an end date of April 30/May 15, so most of that will be gone by December of 2015.

As mvf-m11c said, DLR does not have FP+ (nor does it use Magic Bands) at this point. Any thing is possible, but the guessing is that it won't happen until after the 60th anniversary ends (so, sometime in 2016 and beyond).

I suspect that most of Frozen Fun will be back for the holidays. That's my guess. I think it's only going away temporarily (in May), but it will come back -- conveniently -- in time for the holiday season (maybe not mid-November, but probably by Thanksgiving or early December). Anna and Elsa are supposedly going to be a permanent fixture in the Animation Building , so there's no reason to not bring back Olaf's Snow Fest, Freeze the Night and whatever other Frozen stuff they can manage to Hollywood Land -- especially since there won't be a Winter Dreams (with the heavy Frozen element) in DCA this year.

I have been reading speculation on this board of the Christmas Fantasy Parade possibly being canceled this year in favor of the new Paint The Night parade. I don't understand the reason for this speculation. Why couldn't Disneyland have two different parades in the same day/night? Is there not enough space to stage all of the parade units for both parades backstage? I doubt that would be the issue. Disneyland has had day and night parades before. MSEP was held at the park when they also had daytime parades. Christmas parades have been a Disneyland tradition for decades. And, let's not forget about the Disney Parks Christmas Parade on ABC that airs on Christmas Day. Without a Disneyland parade, the show would have to be named the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade again. Disney is so much into synergy, that isn't going to happen.

And what about Mickey's Soundsational Parade? Will this parade go away for the 60th because of "Paint The Night"? To add my own speculation to this, I believe "Paint The Night" and "A Christmas Fantasy" will both run during the holiday season. The new show will probably be too new to put on a seasonal rotation by the holidays. I expect Paint The Night to run on a regular basis throughout the entire 60th Anniversary season, and then be put into seasonal status in 2016. That's just my opinion.

But what replaces Frozen Fun? Specifically, "Freeze The Night"? With Mad T Party gone, they will need something in that area during the summer. I vote that elements of the event will be extended for the remainder of the year. It seems unlikely that DCA will put another new show in there so quickly. I'd love to see the return of Mad T Party, but I think due to its popularity, Frozen wins.

The Christmas Fantasy Parade was not taped for ABC in 2014, at all. They focused on Frozen things. I doubt it will be taped in 2015.

Apparently Steve Davison said at the Q&A (that followed the announcement of the events of the 60th the other night) that there would be no Christmas parade or other Christmas shows in 2015, as they will be focusing on the new shows for the 60th all year long. So that takes it out of speculation and into 'confirmed by someone from Disney' territory. However, as mvf-m11c pointed out several days ago, there would have to be a daytime parade. So it would likely either be Soundsational or A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Steve Davison may not have thought the daytime parade thing through when he answered the question -- he may have only been thinking about nighttime entertainment. A Christmas Fantasy Parade is part of the Holiday Time Tour, and many people book the tour so they can get seats for the parade, so there is a valid reason for it to play some role in the season.

At the same time, that parade is very, very old, and many people think it's dated, so I could picture it taking a rest this year and then coming back in 2016 or 2017, refreshed and reimagined, with different floats and things.

Interestingly, when I looked at the Disneyland website a couple of days ago (just to see if the Holiday descriptions/ text had been altered to reflect the 60th anniversary), in their list of 'highlights from 2014' (I am paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it), they mentioned A Christmas Fantasy Parade but they did not mention Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks. We know that BIHM is not returning this year, so it's as if they don't even want to remind anyone that it exists! Lol. But ACFP was in the list of things that happened in 2014, so that could mean that Disney is considering keeping it as a daytime thing this year, even on a limited schedule.

It hadn't really crossed my mind that they would bring back elements of Frozen Fun during the holiday season. It makes sense that they would want to still capitalize on the popularity of Frozen (assuming it's still as popular by the end of the year).

I am also curious to see what will happen when May 15 rolls around in terms of the nighttime street party. I remember when it ended there were rumors that Mad T Party would return this summer, so hopefully those will come to fruition. (I have to admit, I wonder if some of the Frozen stuff is ended in May because trying to maintain a snow play ground is energy intensive and keeping ice sculptures frozen might be tough during the summer nights.)

I have to say the first time I saw Mad T party I loved it. The last time it just was ehh and my soon and hubby both were not happy. I didn't like it all earthier. It just seemed something was off. I hope the Frozen stuff comes back for the winter time.

I think if the Christmas Parade is gone this year, maybe the parade settings for the tour, will be offered for the new parade.
