DL DDA Meet

Ok gang, I'm trying my hand at this planning thing. Tammi has graciously offered to help me out when I get stuck, so hopefully we'll be able to plan this thing so we'll all have fun!

I got some information from Paula, but I think we need to get some stuff down in black and white.

If you are planning on coming, or are interested in more information on it, please PM me so I can get a list formulated. Paula made a great questionnaire, and some of you returned it. I'm going to send it out again to those on the list, so I can get an idea of what y'all want to see happen with this trip.

Great idea Glynis.

When I added up the votes, the weekend of the 14 (Fri) - 16 (Sun) got the most.
next was the 7th and then 21st.
So I guess the trip is a go for Sep 14-16 and any other days you plan to add on.

Ok all you folks going or wanting to go to DL Sept of '07, here it is. The 3rd is the holiday, all blue dates are Sat/Sun.

Please let me know what weekend works best for you. I will make a list and we will go withthe majority.

the holiday weekend is not value season, but I am game for whatever (not Bethie's b-day weekend 22-23).

I am adding up the dates that everyone sends me.

Because this is a trip for meeting other DDA members we will need to work hard to find the best deals, make sure we do for the group not for just one person, and have a few rules so everyone has a great time.

1. Do you agree that majority rules in the major deals such as dates, hotel?

2. What days work best for you?

5. How much personal time do you want incorporated into any schedule that is put together?


6. How many meals a day would you want to share with the group?

7. Are you coming alone or bringing along friends and family?

8. Do you want to make your own room reservations?

If you want us to make room reservations, please answer questions 9-15.

9.Do you want to stay on or off-site?

10.Are you willing to share with another DDAer?



11.If you want to share a room, are you willing to sleep on a couch/pullout bed or an aerobed?

12.Is there any member that you rather not share a room with? This is asked so everyone has a good time and we don't schedule people together if they would rather not be.

13.Would you like to share a suite?

14.Would you like concierge service for your room or suite?

15.Do you want to buy your own park hopper or would you like someone else to help get it? (ie group tickets from AAA or military or some other cheap ticket.)

16. If a rental car is needed or wanted, (I don’t think it will be) are you willing to split the bill? (keep in mind that you should be able to get a shuttle or group town car from the airport, the rental would be for checking out the LA area)

17. Do you understand that if someone cnx’es that your price will change to make up for the difference.

18. Are you willing to take on a planning project for the trip (design a shirt, make reservations at a restaurant, search for the best deal on something)?

19. Are you willing to share you home email and phone number with the planners and or other DDA’ers going on this trip for reasons of planning?

20. Do you agree that email, phone and home addresses are for the purpose of planning this trip unless otherwise stated by a DDA member? (this is to ensure that we do not over step our boundaries)

DL Meet SEP 2007!!!!!!!​

The votes are in and here is how they played out.


The weekend of the 14 (Fri) - 16 (Sun) got the most votes.

next was the 7th and then 21st.

So I guess we are a go for Sep 14-16 and any other days you plan to add on.

When you have time, we will start to plan this trip. I will make a few lists up and pass out a few duties and make Glynis, Christi and Tia do all the work lmao.

Cross off these dates as TAKEN. Let the hotel planning begin!!!!

Good to read you all. I needed afix ALL WEEKEND like you wouldn't believe.

Say Glynis I think it is time to do more DL meet work. I have a lot of ideas (no I will not tell those of you who are not in the planning process, so don't ask).

I have been thinking of the DL meet and all the fun we will have.

I was also thinking about extra money for the trip. Along with a lot of other things, but for now I want to share info with you.



THIS IS NOT A SOLITSITATION! I repeat! THIS IS NOT A SOLITSITATION!


Jennifer (Bear74) gave me info on a few reward sites, I use four of them. So far I have done well with three of the four.

Sunshinerewards.com (I love this site, I have gotten 2 $25.00 payouts in Disney Gift cards from them)

Quickrewards.com (slow, but steady. No payout yet)

Creationrewards.com (this is not my favorite, I find it to be slow)

treasuretrooper.com (I just started this one and have no real opinion on it)



Here is what I was thinking for you all and or anyone else. Lets use quickrewards as a ref.

If I only do the “click on website” each day. I can click all the sites with in about 2-3 minutes and get 60-90 reference points per day. Ok that sounds great, but keep in mind ref points are $0.01 per 10 ref points. I can make 6 to 9 cents per day in ref points only. BIG DEAL right?

Stay with me for a minute.

If you did this for 365 days at 6 cents it’s $21.90 you didn’t have. BIG DEAL right? Well if you put that into Disney dollars or a gift card….. you now have spending money for DL or WDW.

See we put our change away, we have yard sales, we sell on ebay and all these other things. Well I think…. Hey, a few minutes of my time while I am on the internet anyway…. Fine.

Last, the gal who owns sunshinerewards (SR) is a DIS’er.

Anyway, I just wanted to share how I was putting together some spending money for my trips.

If you have questions, just ask us or anyone else who does these things.









Some posts had links to hotels for everyone to view as well links for the Disneyland main page so you could view the park and get ideas on what you might want to do and how much things cost.

I have a bit of sad news.

As of last night DH and I decided I will not be able to go to the DL meet as of now. We are trying to go to DL next fall and if I can't pick up enough money to pay for it without using his pay check, we may not be able to go next fall either.

Money has changed it's color in our house and as of now it will take a little while to recover. I will be looking for more than just working for my firend in the mornings as well as trying to add in more military days to my plate, but it is all subject to change with out notice.

Just about alll the information you need to decide what hotel and what to do is in the above post. I am here for questions anytime.

Ok, now it's my time for some sad news. The way things stand we have planned the DL meet for September 14-16. Unfortunately, my brother and his fiance have chosen September 15 as their wedding day. So, it looks like I am out of the running for the DL DDA meet, unless you want to look at other dates.
