sorry with all the questions. Just curious of what you all have to do when you go. So far I have a character meal booked and lunch at Blu Buyou (both I've never done). I hear it's a must to go to the enchanted tiki for a "Dole Whip". So I will try that as well. What else out there should I try and do?

Oh golly. So many must-dos. Each member of my family would probably have their own long list. But here is the top one for each of them. My DD (12) has always loved the Alladdin show in DCA, and it is certainly a must do even though we have seen it so many times - great singing /dancing. (One year she convinced us to watch it twice in one day!) My DS (17) is huge fan of Space M and so getting FP for that is always a priority. My DH probably has two must-dos - fried chicken dinner at Plaza Inn and Big Thunder. For me, Jungle Cruise (of course) and a visit to Trader Sam's bar at the Disneyland Hotel. You don't have to be a hotel guest to go to the bar. It is themed as the best tiki bar you've ever experienced. Loads of fun.

Character meets.. Mickey shaped Beignets from the bar in New Orleans . Dole Whip. Pirates of the Caribbean, Soaring.. Grizzly river run. Aladdin show, photos in front of the castle... tea cups..
Radiator Springs Racers.. pretty much everything..!!

I have heard from numerous people that Traders Sams is awesome but what do I do with the kids. Lol

Characters, characters, characters!!! That's what we are all about in this family. Check out Pixie Hollow at Disneyland and get some photos with the fairies (including Tinkerbell) Get a photo with Mickey at the end of Buena Vista street dressed as a Newsie paper boy! Stop in at Toon Town and visit Minnie Mouse in her house!

Have a leisurely lunch at the Hungry Bear overlooking Rivers of America and I see you already have a dining reservation for Blue Bayou (excellent choice!) Grab a fastpass to see World of Color at California Adventure and if you like rides, check out California Screamin (a wonderful coaster!)

Must get a free piece of chocolate at Ghirardelli.

If it's your first visit, go to the town hall and get a first visit pin and wear it!

Ride the Disneyland railroad around the park.

Also you must get a corndog, DL has the greatest corndogs on the planet. (And I don't even like corndogs, but DL corndogs are awesome)

Get a Dole whip float.

Get some pomme frites at Cafe Orleans and sit outside and relax.

Have the time of your life !!

Change your Blue Bayou reservation to the Fantasmic package if you can. We have been to Disney lots but never took the time to see the show because what we saw when we were walking around looked stupid. THe seating you get for the Blue Bayou Fantasmic Package is right on center which makes a huge difference because the show is basically projected on water spray. Call the reservation phone line if you can't book online.

Too subjective. If there's a sure way to start a fight on DIS, it's to ask this question. My vote: do it all! Go into DLR overload until you belly is so full of churros and mickey ice cream bars that you're rolling on the ground in the middle of Main Street singing "it's a small world" in an endless loop.

Kids are allowed in the bar until 8:00. I planned to go with my daughter for dinner, but my friends talked me out of it. I did run in to grab a drink to have with our dinner at the Tangaroa Terrace. Glad I didn't take my daughter in, though. The fun sound effects that they do when people order particular drinks were way too loud for my noise-sensitive kiddo. She'd have NOT been happy. Next time we'll be going with a bunch of folks, so I'll have to pass my kiddo off onto one of her surrogate cousins and give the place a real try.

I should mention that my friends talked me out of Dinner at Trader Sams because they thought it was too small for our crowd. A big table at Tangaroa Terrace served us well.

For restaurants, I'd also recommend Storyteller's at The Grand Californian. We love the breakfast buffet there. And lunch or dinner at Ariel's Grotto. It's a character meal with the princesses, but it's the food that really makes it worth it. One of the best meals I've ever had in a theme park. And it's consistently good every time we go. My son has learned not to fight me on the Princess meal anymore & just accept that we're going.

Do as much as C A N! See Crush/talk turtle in DCA, the Aladin play, visit every store and ride every last ride!:charac2:
