My DD 3 is a character nut. She has been to WDW a few times and loves meet and greets. We are taking her to DL/CA for the 1st time this summer. I feel a little lost on where to find the characters there other than I know to head to Toon Town and a character meal. Is there a list anywhere of what characters you can usually find in what spots? If not, can anyone give me some guidance to some regular meet and greet spots? Also, who can you usually find in DL's Toon Town other than Minnie and Mickey? I'd love any help anyone can give. She loves them all!

The fab five are at toon town . The princesses rotate out at the Princess fantasy faire in Fantasyland. Alice and the Mad Hatter have a musical chairs program at Coke Corner in the afternoons and they usually have a friend or 2 helping them out.(Peter Pan, The Tweedles, etc.) There are different characters out on mainstreet at different times. The Fairies are over in Pixie Hollow. They rotate out also.
Then over at CA you can find more of the characters usually over in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.
If there is a certain person that you are looking for, just ask at the City Hall and they can usually call around to find out if they will be out that day and the place and times.

For me, I've had more luck seeing the Fab 5 + Chip & Dale in Town Square than in Toontown. Then they can also be found in Sunshine Plaza + Stitch in DCA. Woody & Jessie are now in DCA, besides Frontierland, across from King Triton's Carousel. Random characters besides Sully, Mr. & Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, & Handy Manny will be in Hollywood Pictures Backlot. I was even suprised to see the Fairy Godmother in DL by the castle! That was a rare treat for me.

We took my DGD when she was 3, and dinner at Ariel's was wonderful! She had been a little nervous about the characters with the full head costume, but the princesses were wonderful -- we got adorable pics, and they got to spend a couple of minutes each talking with her one-on-one.

We made an autograph book for Tali out of a small 4X6 pocket photo album. We used plain unlined index cards, and put stickers of individual characters on each one -- one for Snow, one for Cindy, one for Minnie, etc. When she met the character, she could take the card out for them to sign, then we put it back in the photo album and it was protected against tearing and smudging from little fingerprints. Also, the characters got all excited when they saw their special card with their stickers on it, and made a big deal out of it, which Tali loved. It was fun making and using the album, and it made a great souvenir.

You also got the Pooh and friends meet and greet over on critter country near the Pooh ride. Also I read that if you book a package at Bibbity Bobbity Botique there is a photo session with Cinderella at the end. Not sure though.... Haven't been yet!

In CA there is also a Disney Rewards Visa Credit card meet and greet that'll get you some alone time with a character (random) as well as a free photo from the session.

Character meals are a great way to meet characters and have time to get pictures taken. There is breakfast with Minnie and that usually has a lot of characters. ALso Goofys kitchen and that can have a lot or a few. We have been there many times but the last couple there were only four characters each time. When you go to a character meal they allow ninty minutes to see all the characters. Don't forget your camara and autograph books. As others mentioned Ariels Grotto is a great place to see princesses. There are a few more too. Rather or not we take grandkids or go without kids we always do a couple character meals. Enjoy :)

Thank you guys so much!!! This is great information!

I love the magic of the random characters running around! Yesterday I literally bumped into Cruella (scary!! but soooo funny!) and a Prince as they came running out the entrance of the castle! :)

And later on Bert and Mary Poppins were delicately walking around, too! :) so much fun!

A few years back, I bumped into Cruella too, over by the ToT. I was waiting for some friends to get off the ride, and was standing there by myself. She taps me on the shoulder and says, "You...push my cart." She had her wardrobe cart with her and had me push it to her trailor. She was a hoot!!

For a little girl, the Princess Fantasy Faire is definitely worth the wait -- and the fairies in Pixie Hollow are so cute, great picture opportunities! We've seen some more rare and unusual characters in CA -- Sulley, the Incredibles, Cruella, Hercules, Mulan, even the evil hag from Snow White around Halloween.

After the "Drawn to the Magic" show at DCA (held either outside the Animation Building or in the Hollywood Backlot Theater) the three characters who participate (usually Woody, Sorcerer Mickey and Cinderella) stay for a Meet and Greet afterwards.

Yeah, like everyone else said, Town Square is great for meeting the Fab Five and Chip & Dale. If you have a chance, Toontown Morning Madness is great to meet the Fab Five + Chip & Dale in a more relaxed, less crowded atmosphere. They interact a bit more, and you don't feel rushed, so you can get more pictures and more interaction. But even without Morning Madness, we were just there last week and saw the Fab Five + Chip & Dale at Town Square every day (not all day, but mostly in the morning when the park opens and early afternoon we noticed). At Pooh Corner, Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore are the norm, but the CMs said that during busy summer days, Rabbit and Piglet may make an appearance. We also saw Cruella, Mary Poppins, Bert, Pinocchio, Aladdin, and Jasmine at Town Square/Main Street; Mad Hatter and Alice near Pixie Hollow; Mulan and Mushu at Pacific Wharf at DCA; Lilo, Stich and the Fab Five + Chip & Dale at Sunshine Plaza; Woody and Jessie at both Frontierland and across from Toy Story Mania; Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Woody, Sorcerer Mickey, and Pocahontas at various times after "Drawn to the Magic", and the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella near Sleeping Beauty's Castle. But in the summer, they usually have a lot more characters roaming around, so you shouldn't be short of character meet and greets at all.

You saw Mushu? Seriously? :scared1:

And I thought I was lucky seeing the Genie.

Wow, I hadn't realized Mushu was such a rarity at the parks. He and Mulan were hanging out in the open area between the Mission Tortilla Factory and Boudin Bakery tour entrances. I didn't ask though if they were there all the time or only on occasion.
