DL Character dining voucher - prepaying worth it?

I also noticed Viator sell prepaid vouchers. They are a really good price too. I think even better than Getaway Today.

Am seriously considering the vouchers now after reading this thread.

Thanks guys!!! :)

Am I remembering wrong? You pay before you're even seated at Minnie's correct? Do you add the tip before you're seated? We've done Minnie & Friends a few times over the past few years but I just can't remember if/how I tipped.
Yes. You pay up front, and we leave cash at the table.

The vouchers on that site do not include tip...just tax.
You only save $.01 buying there. Still a better deal through GAT.

Sorry, Im confused a little Griimama33 are you saying the Getawaytoday vouchers include Tax and Tip?
If they do and it makes it easy for this Land down under girl then I'm all for it LOL.
Also are the vouchers emailed and we then just collected them at the ticket box, is that correct?
The way our dollar is moving it could be a good way to have them already paid for.

Thanks

I purchased the Character breakfast vouchers from Getawaytoday and they mailed me actual tickets that can be taken directly to the restaurant to be used. Yes, they include the tax and tip, so no additional expense!

I called to ask about the cost of the different character meals and was told that in addition to the 8% tax, they automatically add 15% gratuity at Ariel's and 18% at Goofy's Kitchen. So there is no need to add additional tips at those meals.

Thanks for the replies.

So I ordered Vouchers from Get Away today. They say they are E Delivery only, but All I have is a receipt. Is it the receipt that I take to the Disney Ticket Booth when we arrive?

The tip is not already added to the fee they quote you for the meal. When you pay the bill, it will be the cost quoted, tax (and tip if the restaurant automatically adds it). You still need to add the tips to the total cost.

My concern on this is if the server actually gets the tip that is "included" with the voucher. I assume that if you have included the tip in the voucher, you do not leave any money on the table as well.

They can also be redeemed at the time of checking if you are staying onsite! That, I think is more convenient. Expedia also has tickets that you can get through Ebates as well. At this time they only go up to May 2016, so I have to wait a little to get mine.
