A “mysterious” new Disneyland musical comedy starring a frazzled leader, ambitious lieutenant, playful maverick, cranky grouch and quirky problem solver backed by a live band is coming to the Anaheim theme park. Disney Live Entertainment is hosting a casting call for actors, singers, dancers and musicians on Oct. 14 and 17 for a new show coming to Disneyland, according to the Disney Auditions website.
Disneyland plans to pull together a vibrant, energetic and dynamic ensemble of seven actors and five musicians from a diverse spectrum of theatrical and cultural backgrounds. “Strong improvisational skills and the ability to connect with young audiences are key,” according to the Disney Auditions website. The casting call offers a few hints about the “mysterious” new show, according to WDW News Today. : • Frazzled and bossy director of operations who is a natural leader • Awkward and ambitious lieutenant who is a perfectionist • Newscaster-like announcer with a strong voice • Always prepared and ready for anything planner • Cranky, impatient and stubborn grouch • Sweet and playful maverick • Quirky and sarcastic problem solver The musician roles include: • Woodwind player who can play alto, tenor and baritone saxophones and flute • Tenor trombonist who can also play piano • Trumpet player with lead and improvisational experience • Acoustic guitarist who can also sing • Drummer and percussionist proficient on the drum set and auxiliary percussion
