Could anyone give me a rough idea of how much data the app uses in the parks? if I opened it every hour or 2 to check wait times, characters were out
I'm trying to get an idea as I'm used to WDW and the free wifi so don't have to worry there but coming from the UK it's an issue, I can buy 500mb add on from my network for £40 ($60) but if that won't last me the whole 3.5 days I'm in the parks then I may have to just do without

I just used the app to check two wait times (Peter Pan and RSR) and it took 0.5 MBA if data. I do not use it every two hours (more like a 6 or so times per day) but I've used 27 MB of data over the course of 4 days.

DATA......
My smartphone is smarter than me.... Trying to figure out how much data I would use, I went to the AT&T store to get help.
I asked how to figure how much data a site(s) or app uses. They said it varies too much to predict.
I have decided it's like a "black hole" and you'll only know when you get the bill.

When I used Data to check the Disneyland App, it seems to take quite some time.
I found it faster and easier to call ASK OTTO for the information. Sometimes we stop by the info kiosk to see the info posted on their board.

Good luck

Thank you, that's really helpful and means 500MB should be plenty :)

You should have plenty...planning my upcoming vacay to help prioritize, I've probably checked the app 2-6 times a day. And not always brief check-ins (I've been all over the app familiarizing myself with all the app has to offer). In the last 25 days I've only used 32.5 MB of data on the DL app. It mosdef does not suck up a lot of data.

Be sure to turn OFF your data & WIFI when you are in the parks, not using it. It will drain your battery as it is constantly trying to find a single.
