DJ Question

Hi,

We just got our BEO today and let me tell you, we were floored by the total and some of the costs. Of course, now we have to look into ways of cutting it back and saving some money. Our DJ cost was really high and I want to look into using an outside DJ but have no clue on where to look. Has anyone ever done this? If so, who did you use? Were you happy with them? What was the difference in cost? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

One thing to consider, even if you hire an outside DJ Disney charge $750 to cover the dance floor etc. I dont know how much one would be for your reception but we looked for a DJ for an off property event and some of them had minimums of $400+. So it would work out at $1150 or more. It depends on how much you have been quoted for your package, i have been quoted $1300 for mine so i would oly be saving around $150 or less.

To me it wasnt worth the hassle! but it depends how much you have been quoted and what they would charge you for using an outside vendor, i woul ask your EM what the charge is and go from there!

There could be additional vendor fees associated with Disney. I would check into what Disney would charge you if you brought in someone from the outside to get a full look at your costs. Our DJ was Charles Miles and we got him through Disney. He was WONDERFUL!

looks like youve already been warned about the outside vendor fees. definetly keep that in mind when looking else where. we used disney for our dj we had mike "scooter" for the reception & he did a great job with my song list.
