Dj Pikey!!!

During my May 13th cruise this year as I was in the Internet Cafe, I heard Pikey making announcements in the Promenade Lounge to those who were going on an excursion. Just before he left the Promenade Lounge I went over and introuduced myself and told him that many DIS'ers wanted me to say hi from them, to him. As soon as I said, "DIS'ers and the Turkery Cruisers" Pikey replied with, "Oh yes, Tink." That one is for you Lampy!!!

Luckily I had my camera with me, and one of the other CM's took this shot of Pikey and myself.

Thanks Andy....if figured DJ Pikey would still remember us. After all we were in the hot legs contest on Monday, Bon Jovi sing off on Tuesday, Pirate night dance off on Wednesday, YMCA on Thursday......I thought I was going to get dragged up in Diversions on Friday night....LOL

I remember him from our Feb 2005 cruise! He kept asking for chicken fingers or something like that and cracking everyone up.

I didn't become familiar with any of the staff that cruise. I hope to do better the next time.

I love this thread! I thought Pikey was hilarious! I was just telling my mom about him last night! I found two pictures of him at the Sailaway Party. The second one is my favorite! My DBF couldn't figure out why I took that picture, but my mom and aunts enjoyed it!

And it looks like Michael's in the pics as well!

day after christmas 2004 on castaway cay. it was a chilly day and they wouldn't let us go in the water. so we thought it would be a good idea to play in the dj gazebo with pike. hehe... we picked almost all the music that got played on the island that afternoon

He should be on the Magic in Aug, but Not Dec. He is making a switch to the Wonder in November after a break to go home. I don't know if his break starts in Nov and then to the Wonder or if his break is BEFORE Nov. and he will be on the Wonder starting in Nov.

Generally, the vacation/break is 2 months.

He shared this info with us on our June trip.

Yes, the rumor mill seems that Pikey has jumped ship and got his land legs back.

For selfish reasons, my DH and I will miss him ALOT. Who's gonna call my DH Sting now???!!! But, I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his new endeavor at WDW in Paris. Maybe he'll want to get back at sea again - who knows. I will not only miss him but the other CM's who I'm honored to call my friends on next year's cruise. It just won't be the same.
