DIY Welcome Baskets for Kids

There are some really great ideas here! I am making bags for in the car, we are driving down. I have been wrestling with ideas of what to put in them. I have made a list with ideas from here! You guys rock!

I found the little Disney character bath cloths at the Dollar Tree. They are a dollar and have lots of characters. The kids go to use them in the bath each night and we brought them home and my 3 year still loves them. I have seen this little bath cloths at Walmart too, but they are $1.97 there.

My kids love fruit gummies. There are a lot of these at the Grocery store - toy story, cars, et.

I also got them some of the plastic juice cups that have disney characteers on the straw. Saw these at Walmart.

Found Jake and the Neverland Pirate tattoos at Walmart in the party section.

Pirate eye patches would be cute too!

I am making my daughter a basket/bag as well, but she will get it the evening before we leave or maybe the morning before we leave. In my bag I will have....

***Customized Tshirt from Etsy

*** Autograph book/ pen / bag also from Etsy (cute designs and low cost)

*** Glow sticks/necklace - I got a tube of 15 from the dollar store

*** Pin starter kit - from disney store

*** Sunglasses

*** beach towel w/ bag - got this at walgreens for $10 very cute

*** mini fan

*** pressed penny book - amazon for $5

*** Large M&M container for quarters w/ quarters already in it - someone on here makes personalized labels to go onto them

*** Small M&M container for Pennies w/ pennies - also with personalized label

*** disney wallet

*** journal I am making from the pages on here

*** coloring books and crayons

*** waterproof desposible camera (for her own pictures)

Thats all that I am putting in her bag. My daughter isnt a big candy person so I am not buying any of that and I wont buy any stuffed animals because she will get that at Disney I'm sure.

i've seen disney items in the dollar spot at target, the dollar tree, and the $1-$3 section at michael's (they've also been running a lot of % off your purchase coupons lately...through saturday it's 25%). you never really know what you'll find. i've seen stickers, stationary sets, pencil cases, temporary tattoos, sandwich holders, paddle balls, socks, etc. any of these would make great fillers and you could tailor the items to your boys' developmental level.

a roll of quarters and a roll of pennies for making pressed pennies

the pressed pennies cost 2 quarters and 1 penny each

the penny holder book for putting the pennies in costs $8 and you can buy it at the resort gift shops or in WDW or order it before hand

dollar bills and quarters for the remote control boats at the jungle cruise ride or the shooting gallery at frontierland

some money for the video arcade or load the video arcade card for them with the amount that they'll be able to spend

We are doing a similar thing for our girls but with a princess theme. I have arranged the autograph books and personalised ear hats plus a letter from Mickey inviting them to (a character) breakfast. We have also bought them one of the princess kid tough vtech cameras. Their big packs will come at lunch with the princesses and that has dresses, tiaras, sashs, glowsticks, make up, soft animals, coloring books, candy, stickers and temp tattoos
