DIY Princess hair

I thought I saw a link to a tutorial on fixing girls hair and makeup like BBB does. I have a granddaughter who would like her hair done for halloween. Can anyone help?

I would like to know this as well...... DD is going to be Cinderella for Halloween. She had her hair done at BBB for MNSSHP and I would LOVE to re-create the look. . Probably on YouTube????

I know how to do the princess up-do, but not sure I can explain it. I'll try.. but you need to practice before Halloween so we can get it right.

First brush hair and make a very high ponytail. They used lots of gel to make it perfect. Then take a small strand of hair and wrap it around the pony holder to cover it. Secure with a bobby pin.

Now you need a bunch of the really cheap, thin pony holders. Secure them to the ponytail about 2" from the top, and then about every inch after that. So now you have a ponytail with elastics secured all the way down. Here is the tricky part. Take the hair and roll it up, 'till you reach the 2nd to top elastic. The hair that is between the top 2 elastics you need to pull and fan out. Tuck the rest of the ponytail (that you rolled up) under and pin it all in place. Push tiara in front.

I'd be interested in seeing pics. I'm going to try to redo this for Halloween we have the hairpiece from BBB. I watched them when they did it but now I'm a little unsure of recreating it on Saturday. I also need to know what type of hair gel to buy I haven't bought it before. TIA!

just get anything that says, "extra hold". I have done it a few times and not used any gel. It depends how long you need it to stay. I'll try tonight to get her to sit still and see what we can do.

This isn't the "do" with a hairpiece though. It's the up-do bun with a tiara.
