Deluxe day 15

Breakfast



We swapped resorts this morning to Art of Animation for our last night as a surprise for DD to stay in a little mermaid room. We just had something in the room before check out. I think DD had cheetos!?!



Lunch

Liberty Tree Tavern, Magic kingdom

Rating Good

This was DH’s choice. MK was very busy today so it was nice to take an air conditioned break. Our adr was for 12.30pm and we were seated within a couple of minutes. This was our first time here.

We had the chilli and mozzarella sticks to start – both were good. DD had apple slices.

For entree I had the turkey dinner which I enjoyed. The gravy is nothing like English gravy though!

DH had a burger with fries which was good and DD mac and cheese.

For dessert DH enjoyed the ooey gooey toffee cake. I swapped with DD – she had the chocolate cake and I had a bit of her icecream as I was very full.

We had coke to drink which comes in a tankard.

We had good food and service here. The only downside was there were only two stalls in the ladies restroom – so there was a long line. Of course DD needed to go and it was annoying when I knew the food would be getting cold.

Snack

Aloha Isle, MK



I got a dole whip float and a coke float. It was hot and busy in MK so there was a long line. Afterwards I realised she had charged the room not snack credits – concierge at the resort was able to sort it out that evening. I don’t think I would have charging on my card again though as I don’t use it and it just seemed to complicate things.

We got a mickey cake pop and a m&m covered rice crispie with our last 2 snack credits from main street. The rice crispie treat was huge.

Dinner

Ohana, Polynesian resort

Rating Good

We had a late adr 9.30pm and headed over by monorail after watching Wishes and the main street electrical parade.

This was our 3rd time here. We waited maybe 15 mins to be seated. I had a lapu lapu cocktail from the bar which was good.

When we were seated we were given salad and pineapple bread. DD joined in the kids dancing.

We enjoyed all the food – potstickers and chicken wings, noodles then the steak, pork and shrimp. DD had a hot dog and fries.

For dessert we enjoyed the banana bread pudding and DD had icecream.

This was our last night so we made the most of it.

After eating the monorail had stopped so we were taken by bus back to TTC where we had parked.

Used 3 TS credits (our last credits – our deluxe dining expired at midnight – we had used them all)

Day 16

Going home

Breakfast

We ate at Art of Animation foodcourt. Myself and DH had the ‘steak’ and egg burger with fries, DD had chocolate chip pancakes. We paid cash – not on the dining plan anymore.

Lunch

DH and DD shared a Wendys at MCO airport

Dinner

Earl of Sandwich, Philadelphia Airport

We had a stop at Philadelphia so had an earl of sandwich – same as at DTD. I had the original, DD just ham and DH full montague.

Never been to trails end. I've heard the food is the same as hoop - the chicken was good not greasy.

i am still confused about dining plans though , do you only get a drink include d with your meal when u are on deluxe plan ?

im trying to book on a tight budget so interesting to see all the reciepts and how quick the meal bills can add up when not doing dining plan

You get a non alcoholic drink with all the dining plans eg coke (free refills), coffee or juice. Some places you can have a smoothie or milkshake.

Onsite eating is alot dearer than offsite - i've done two eating on a budget reviews - links in my signature.

Yet again a wonderful DR comes to an end

I insist you book another trip so we can all enjoy another one !!

Thanks for posting as I've gone along.

We've been to Ohana 3 times now for dinner and always had a great time. Would love to go for xmas day.

We haven't booked yet but in all liklihood will be back next October. Maybe offsite again for a change. We shall see.
