OT- Has anyone been there? We will be going to Universal in December. Can't wait! In-laws who live in Fl got us all tickets to The Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede. It sounds nice. Christmas theme and all. It's a dinner show.
Any other info?
Thanks-
Christine

I've been a couple times. The food is great. It's a small chicken you eat with your hands. The meat falls off the bones. They don't give you any silverware.
There are sides, and desert that come with it, along with all the soda you'd want.
Arrive on time for the pre show. It's a famous australian dude who rides his horse thru the crowd, then does a whip trick on stage.

When you first walk in, they'll try to take your picture so they can sell it to you during the show. If you don't like this, just walk thru the picture area and say no thanks. That way they can't bug you during the show. You are expected to leave a tip for the server, so bring some cash for that.

I've also seen the Christmas version. They have a mini ice rink that is lowered from the ceiling. You can pet the horses before or after the show, the stalls are located outside as you walk up. You can take pictures outside, but there are signs that say no pictures in the theater. I've taken my camera in, but it's very hard to take pictures because you can't use a flash, so they came out blurred. Don't worry about it, you'll enjoy the show.

Dixie Stampede is awesome. The food is delicious, the show is fun, and the Christmas version is very entertaining. You can't go wrong with this show, imo.

Our whole family loves Dixie Stampede. We've done both the regular show and the Christmas show. Both are great. Try to get there early enough so that you can sit downstairs for the preshow instead of upstairs. Seating for the dinner show is pre-assigned so there are no worries there. The food is very tasty and the servers are great. In the past we've also done Medieval Times and Arabian Nights. Dixie Stampede is by far our favorite. Enjoy!

I'm thinking of taking in the show in December too. I did some research, including a search on these boards, and found a lot of positive feedback about this show. Are there any discounts available, i.e. coupons, AAA, etc?
