Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show?

Has anyone gone to this? What were your thoughts? I see that it is a "gem" attraction in the AAA book, and it sounds like fun.

Does anyone know of any discounts/coupons for the dinner?

We ate there last September. It was good. Food was good, service was good, show was good.

They did take our photo and try to sell it do us during the show. We said "no thanks" and there was no pressure at all.

Don't bother bringing your camera. You are not allowed to take any photos.

Bring your own utensils. None are provided. I'm not crazy about eating messy B-B-Q with my fingers or drinking soup from a bowl. Do try the BBQ sauce, its great!

Look around on line, there are discounts to be had.

We saw on one ad that they ride the ostriches. In the AAA book, it says there are pig races too. Please tell me there aren't people riding PIGS!

I did see that there is a $3 off coupon for up to six adults on the IbidUSA.com site. I will keep looking, and post if I find anything better.

No, no one gets to ride the pigs. A few of the actors/employees ride the ostriches.

I think they do have 4 or 5 kids from the auidence come out and chase chickens. Very funny. I think they choose a few adults to have races on stick horses.

Get there early to get a good seat for the preshow. The beverages are pricy but the entertainment is pretty good and it's included with your ticket. Enjoy!

By your tickets from AAA it saves you about $10.00. I didnt know this when I booked mine.

Thanks for the heads up on the AAA discount. I checked the Florida AAA website, and it looks like you can buy tickets from a FL, GA or western Tennessee office "in person" for $36.50 adults ($7.50 savings) and $17.25 child (1.75 savings). Tax is not included in these prices, so including 6.4% tax it would be: $38.83 and $18.35.

I see on Ticketmania that you can buy tickets for Dixie Stampede for $41 and $18, INCLUDING tax. This is an option if you don't have AAA or won't be able to get to their office.
