We went to the
Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge a few years ago. We haven't been to the Christmas show, nor to the Orlando location, but I understand they are all quite similar. The menu and meal photos on the
website look just like what we had when we were there. We thought it tasted very good, especially considering that it's served to so many people at once. We preferred the food there to the food served at Disney's Hoop De Doo Revue. We seen some people post the same opinion and others, just the opposite, so I guess it's up to personal preferences.
Some people definitely do NOT like it that you eat with your hands here. They do bring you something to clean your hands with before eating. But if this would bother you, pack in a few plastic utensils.

The staff do not have utensils to bring you, even if you ask, so we've heard that some people bring their own. We're pretty easy going about that stuff, I guess.
Arrive extra early if you want to see the horses up close in the stables outside. Also, if you have to pick up your tickets at the Will Call Window, allow for some time for that, and a possible line.
Then, over an before show time, they start letting people inside. When we first entered the building and got in line, we were stopped so a photographer could take our family's group picture. Everyone stops there. You'll be offered the chance to see your photo and buy it toward the end of the meal, if you want. Don't recall the cost.
First, you'll go into an outer room that looks like a small saloon (kind of like Diamond Horseshoe) with a 2nd story balcony around the top. You'll want to get in early to that room for the Opening Act or you won't find a seat. Later arrivals are standing room only. If you want a beverage in this room, with or without those little boot mugs, they charge souvenir prices there. The unlimited Pepsi, tea or coffee or the glass of wine or beer which are included with your dinner are served in the main show arena and dining area.
As we left after the show, we went past (through?) a gift shop with lots of Dixie Stampede merchandise, so you will be able find something if you want that too.
We've been to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge at Christmastime (owned by the same company). The Christmas events and shows there are lovely, very nicely done. I'd like to see the Christmas show at Dixie Stampede some time. I'm sure I'd enjoy it. The price of this and other dinner shows for our family is the reason we haven't. Enjoy!!!
