dixie landings/POR question

The last time we were at WDW we stayed at dixie landings - 3 years ago - we loved it and want to stay there on our next trip that we are planning in Oct. Could someone tell me if everything is the same now that it is Port Orleans Riverside( I think that it's the same). Are the buildings in Magnilia bend still in this resort, is the food court ther same etc.

The resort is pretty much the same. Magnolia is still a part of the resort as well as the Alligator Bayou. I heard some people mention that the food court is a bit different (though have not experienced it myself).

They finished renovations last spring and I have heard nothing but great comments on it. We are really looking forward to our visit this Feb. IPage 6ish of the Trip Reports has a post with recent pictures if you want to check it out!

We were there in June 2000 when it was Dixie Landings and June 2002 when it was POR. We noticed no change at all. We even took our "old" refill mugs and had no problems.

One caveat - we went right as POFQ was reopening after a several month closure. I don't know if anything has changed in the POR/POFQ resorts complex since then.

The only things that have changed are that they now have a water taxi that goes between PO-R and PO-FQ. When we asked about it, they said it was to facilitate the ease of travel between the 2, since they now share one sitdown restaurant. Bonfamille's Cafe closed before PO-FQ did, and didn't reopen when the resort did last year. The amenities of either resort are available to both PO-FQ and PO-R guests, so you now have a choice of 2 themed pools, 4 quiet pools, 2 food courts, 2 shops and 2 game rooms.
