DiveQuest - new, young divers

I'm not sure if the search feature is still not completely back up and functioning from the boards being down a few days ago, but I cannot find much about DiveQuest.

Has anyone gone with newly certified and very young divers? Ours will be 11 and 12 and I'm not sure how friendly of an experience this is for very inexperienced kids. Is it worth it?

Just go to the the Walt Disney World website. Click on Things to Do and then on Events and Tours. You will get a list, scroll down and you will see Dive Quest.

Our oldest went on this when we was a freshman in High School, he was 14 and had just been certified. He is the only one in our family who is certified, so he had to go without knowing anyone else on the dive.

He had a great time. It looks like a very relaxed experience. I think they should be fine, especially since someone will need to accompany them.

Thanks, I already looked at the WDW website. I'm more looking for anecdotal accounts of other people's experiences taking very young, newly certified divers on this experience. I don't want to put them in a high stress environment when they still need low key, easy dives.

You’re diving in an aquarium at Disney, with tons of cast members around. You can’t get more low-key, low stress than that. There’s no current, visibility is great, only minor obstacles to swim around. DH has been a few times, and from his reports it’s a very easy, well organized dive.
