Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

Here I am - late to the party as usual. Great update! I can't believe someone slept all night in a lawn chair and no one made him move

Chocolate for breakfast!:thumbsup2 There was a Bill Cosby album when I was Chelsea's age - it had "chocolate cake for breakfast" on it - "Dad is great - gives us cake!" :rotfl2:

So cool that you got right on TSM at rope drop! We were there in time and then went the wrong way - threw our whole morning off.

JULIE!!! Come back - I was just thinking about you this morning - wondering how your trip ended up.

You are a good vacation Mom!!! Yum, I don't know as I've ever had chocolate for breakfast, but, what a stunning idea!!

Loved TSM and that is what we did also. Just rode and decided it would be faster than fastpasses!! It was a great way to do it!!

Man alive. I don't think sleeping in a pool lounge chair sounds too enticing. I would be thinking about lizards, bugs and ???

Looking forward to Muppets and HBD!!

Thank you! We were a bit shocked as well!

 I can just hear Bill Cosby saying that!

Oh no! That would stink!

It gives you a sugar high, that's for sure! ;)

It was a great way to do it -- I am glad I let Chelsea convince us to just do stand-by!

And there were definitely lots of lizards and bugs at AKL!

Looking forward to Muppets and HBD!!

Both were lots of fun! :thumbsup2

I am so glad you got to do Toy Story! Last June, we stood in line for 1.5 hours and then when we realized we were not even 1/2 way through the line, we made an executive decision and left.:goodvibes But I hope we can do it this time around! :thumbsup2

I finally caught up on your report. I was gone for a week and it took me a while to get through your updates. I am glad that your Epcot day ended well after the frustrations of the morning.

My son got a bucket of green army men at the Disney Store. He really likes them but he chews on everything even though he is almost seven, do his aren't in great shape anymore.

You have inspired me to head directly for ToT and RnRC at rope drop when we go in September. Maybe I'll send my mom and DD to get Toy Story fastpasses while the rest of us are riding the thrill rides with no wait. :yay: I need to wait and see how DD likes Toy Story first, she hated Buzz Lightyear, she thought it was scary. :confused3

That is so great that you were one of the first families through, as long as we are there for rope drop I am happy, although we are usually at the back of the pack. Which is alright since DD wants to stop for characters anyway. Can't wait to hear about Brown Derby. It doesn't make the cut for us because it is 2 TS credits and I am too stingy with our dining plan to do any 2TS meals.

HMMMMMM....What do you think the chances are that there was a spouse nestled up in a nice comfy AKL bed somewhere that went with the sleeping man and his beer bottle??!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great update CP.
Regarding beer bottle guy sleeping in the lounge chair, while I wouldn't want to under those circumstances, how cool would it be to wake up and find yourself in a lounge chair, by the pool at AKL ! :cool1:Yeah hope I wake up there tomorow ;)

Laid back Vacation Mom has GOT to be the coolest Mom ever:thumbsup2

I feel bad for Conner that he's not getting to do any of the Star Wars weekend stuff, and he gave up his chance to go to MK for ears, for every picture, where are they :confused3:rotfl:

Laid back vacation mom is my favorite!:thumbsup2 I never thought of just hopping on TSM when we get there first thing, rather than just getting FP's for later. I am learning so many good ideas from everyone's TR's. Educational and entertaining!:goodvibes

I just caught up! :thumbsup2
I think the best line from your TR so far is "Connor was not thrilled with the gravy on his bangers." :lmao:
Where are the tag fairies when you need them???? :rotfl:

Yikes! Fast passes are a must unless you are in the front of the rope drop hordes!

Connor has been talking about wanting the army men now to go along with the alien green men that he got -- I think that will be his souvenir from us in October. He had a hard time deciding between the two in June.

That's a good plan! I don't think your DD will be scared by Toy Story -- it's not dark at all like Buzz and there is no bad guy like Zurg in it.

We are typically in the back of the pack as well which is why I was so impressed with us this year. Brown Derby was my favorite meal of the trip! :thumbsup2

They had no interest in wearing them once they got them -- I would have been ticked but they spent their own souvenir money on them. Connor didn't seem the least bit phased that he had missed the Star Wars stuff -- I think it was because he had a new obsession -- Kim Possible!

I have learned so much from other DISers trip reports, so I am glad I can return the favor for someone else! :goodvibes

I just caught up! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Natale! How are you these days?

:lmao: It would make quite the tag, wouldn't it?

Seriously!

Has anyone on this board received a tag recently?? :rolleyes1

Kathy

Not me! :sad2:

Is this the culprit?

So weird about the guy sleeping at the pool. I wonder what happened with that?

Go Vacation Mom!! It's nice to live on the edge on vacation. :)

Sounds like a fun morning and I can't wait to try TSM!

I have wondered about it since we saw him! :lmao:

 I like that -- we were living on the edge with our chocolate bar breakfast! :thumbsup2

TSM is very fun!!! I like the queue almost as much as I like the actual ride!
