Yay for Surf's Up! Sounds like that one is winning in our unofficial poll. I just did Goofy's last October with the grandson.
It does seem to be a favorite, even among those who've done it a couple times already.

We could do Surf's Up Sunday morning, then on the walk back towards the Grand find a meeting place for a group photo.
That way, like Lisa pointed out, if someone wasn't planning to be in the parks that day, they could still join us for both events. :thumbsup2

Yes she did, she's very talented and very sweet to do them for us! Ursala is exactly how I'm feeling with my kids right now. If only I could steal their voices for a day, all I hear is fighting from the time they get up until they go to bed:(
I know what that's like. My kids have been surprisingly good so far this summer, but every now and then the bickering makes me want to run screaming for the hills!! :sad2:

So Jess, just for clarification, you are doing the photopass for September, October AND February? Or just the first two?

Beth - I'll be doing a total of 2 PhotoPass shares. One will be for September and October (so the Half Marathon girls, anyone taking Halloween trips, and anything else between the two months) and the other one will be for January and February (the Tinkerbell Half girls, our big trip, and if there are any other mini trips in between). You can fit 2 months on each order if you time when you upload the pictures to the website correctly.

I just need to know who wants to participate and their dates for September or October for now.

It's super up in the air right now, but we typically do a trip at the beginning of September for my son's birthday. Assuming that we are able to go, I would definitely like to be included in the Sept/Oct. share. Our tentative dates are Sept. 8-11.

Sounds good Jane! I'll put you down for now and just keep me posted on how that works out. I hope you're able to go. Birthdays at Disneyland are fun! I wish I could have done if when I was little. My first 'birthday' celebration at Disneyland was my 21st and I celebrated 3 months early!

I have a random fact for all the other Next Food Network Star lovers out there. Vic Vegas used to run a sandwich shop less than a block from my office. It was called High Roller Deli and it was very popular with both students and faculty. I am actually not sure why it closed, but when it did, everyone was really sad.

So, this is actually the first time I have been watching the show with any regularity, and I am totally rooting for Vic. But, I also like Jyll and Whitney.

Oh, and the original Next Food Network star is a UNLV alum and was a member of one of our fraternities. I have met him a couple times, including at Toy Story Mania two years ago when he was at DLR filming the Disneyland Christmas Food special. He is totally down to earth and so much fun. The best part was that his son Hunter (who was on the special with him) didn't want to sit next to Guy on the ride and Guy was totally offended, but in a joking way. It was so cute watching the two of them interact.

Happy Fourth of July ladies!!! :smickey:

Twilight Zone marathon! :banana: popcorn::
When I first saw this I thought you were introducing a new race at DL. Now I am bummed...you just meant watching the show. :rotfl:

OK, so I am arriving on July 23rd, which is a block out day. Those dang tickets are $59! Why does that seem so ridiculous to me? I thought they were $40 and l thought that was bad enough. Any other way to get into the park for less?
How long are you staying? We are going the 25-27th.

I don't watch FNS, but am super excited about Big Brother starting in 2 days!

I also discovered HGTV's "Make me a Disney backyard" episodes. Where was I for sign-ups for that?! I am so jealous of the people with these amazing Disney yards. I love the pirate themed backyard, but they wasted pool space with the stupid 18 inch wading pool. Your kids only stay small for a few years, then you have a wasted area.

Just in time to take a shower, put a few things away and watch the Next Food Network Star. Anybody watching that? They need to can Penny/the MidEastern Mama. Her food looks good, but she is a witch. If she won, I wouldn't watch her show, just because of that.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

OMG - I LOVE that show. It is the ONE TV show that I record and watch RELIGIOUSLY. And yes. Penny has GOT. TO. GO. Evil beeyotch. And I've seen Tom on FN a couple times now. I liked him so much last season. I think Susie is going to win this season, but I'm rooting for Vic. LOL I like Whitney and Jyll and Mary Beth too, but of those, I think Mary Beth is the only one that has a real shot unless Whitney keeps up her momentum from this week.

My coveted picture with Aartii!

You both look awesome! I love her. I follow her blog on Facebook.

Um, there's a food network? Sorry, I only eat food, not cook it or watch it.

:lmao: Just for future reference, if it's in a post by me, it's safe to assume it does NOT have anything to do with running. :rotfl: ;)

:thumbsup2

I love to bake, but cooking is too much of a chore for me to enjoy it. I like watching Paula Deen on the Food Network. She cracks me up, and I love how everything had butter and sugar. Good ol' Southern cookin.

I watched a few episodes of Iron Chef and was just mind boggled over how they can take the simplest ingredients like chocolate or something, and make the nastiest things out of it!! :sad2:

I am bummed. I called the Hojo today to see if they had rates for our family vacation next summer. We are going to DL for a couple days in July after Carsland opens.
Anyway, I wanted the kids suite and they said it would be $204 a night plus tax!!!

Ummmm, I'm not sure it's worth that much. I love the Hojo and all, but ouch.

So who knows where we'll end up. Anyway, just had to vent..... carry on.

Woo hoo for thrill rides! I'm looking forward to eating at both those places for the first time!

Hey Angie...it looks like we should hang out more this time! We even live near each other! How about this weather, huh? It's soooo much better than it was last year at this time!

Night all...stay safe!

Try the Homewood Suites on Harbor blvd. We have that booked for all six of us in October. We are paying $143 for weeknights and $134 for the weekends. Not within walking distance, but it does include a good full breakfast which will also help save $$. There is a Residence Inn closer to the park, but they were much more.
I've stayed in the Kids suite, and although nice it is not worth $204 a night and would be a very tight fit for your family.

Thanks, Becci! I'll check it out. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know. We need room for 6 and it doesn't have to be walking distance.

I got the kids all excited about the kids suite today and then called only to find out it was way too much. Especially when we don't plan to be in the room much, kwim?

Anyway, I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July!! :cool1:
We just finished watching the fireworks over at Red Rock. I love that I have a clear view without having to leave my house! :goodvibes
Although I do miss the days when we lived in SoCal and would go to the Rose Bowl every year. That was fun too.

Night! :)

We will hang out for sure this time around! We love the weather we're having except for the mosquitoes. Brad has a week of holidays coming up and we want to head across the line, maybe Birch Bay area. We'll have our trailer so we're looking for a good campground or places to visit for the day. Any suggestions?

I think they will also only allow 5 in the kids suite? I believe that is what Laurie had found out?
