Good Morning Ladies!

It's a gorgeous day here in Northern Arizona. Lots of sunshine, but not too hot yet. A perfect day for my birthday! *<

Several of my co-workers threw a Birthday Breakfast Bash for me this morning. It was lots of fun, and a good way to start the day if you have to work on your bday.

Hope the weather improves quickly for the Divas at WDW. SSR is beautiful, but being in the parks is so much more fun. At least the crowds should be low once the storm watch clears.

Finished up my Diva Easter basket last night and plan to get it over to the PO today.

I don't have an interest in the vinylmation either. We looked at them last summer when they were getting very popular & I thought they were kinda ugly......but that's my opinion on them. My biggest irritation was trying to go thru check-outs when they had vinylmation at the registers for trading, etc. I stood behind one family for almost 30 minutes as they traded, opened, traded, opened, etc. I think after doing a trade, they should get back in line if they want to trade the one they just opened.............

For those that love them....that's great....everyone likes to collect their own things!! The stuff I like might not interest anyone else....that's what makes us all unique!!!

Yay for everyone's upcoming trips!

My three Vinylmations are the only ones I'll probably ever get. I saw that monkey and knew I had to have it. I remember Dawn got one and she thought it was so ugly and then she saw the artists name was Dawn so then she fell in love with it.

It's a gorgeous sunny day here, hope it's just as nice where ever you are. I hope the sun comes out for our friends in WDW.

I just got back from a nice long walk with my dad. I am sore but it still was nice to get out there and get moving!! My dad walks every single day but I like to switch things up and do aerobics and such so I don't get bored but it was nice!

Do you have any "trusted" sellers on eBay for these?? I took a look and some of the prices were Sheeoot, I saw one that I have being sold for $28!!! Hmmmm, vacation fund????? J/K - I love them too much

I've bought 4 from 3 different people. I just check out their feedback and how long they've been on eBay. I don't think these are like pins; with fake ones being sold.

So if this is something seriously being thought about......make sure someone checks in with the owner & lets them know what kind of group is interested in staying there. Not sure they'd go for it......

Did read on the boards..somewhere not sure where...that they have in the past let all adult groups stay there...I think they are trying to avoid a whole bunch of rowdy drunken party behavior at the house and who can blame them? I don't think it would be a good idea to have a M&G there. I would of course not hide the fact that we are a group of women that while we might be mature in age have never really grown up. Our mutual love of Disney is what makes us a family.

I don't own one either Beth! I have thought about it though but I don't want to get started on more junk. I like Jim Shore and have several figurines of his and last time I got really spoiled and got a Dooney bag finally! I have yet to have gone someplace nice to use it! I know a lot of gals use theirs in the parks but I always take my big SLR camera so I have a sling backpack that I always carry in the parks. I may take it though on the next ladies trip for a Napa Rose dinner or something. That is what it is really for is for a nice dinner!

I could go NUTS with collecting disney stuff though!!

The only thing I really ever wanted to collect are the snow globes. I love them!
I have a Lion King one that Ruben bought me when I was pregnant with Adam and we went to see the Lion King at the El Capitan theater. And I have a beautiful, large castle one with all the princesses on it.

But sadly that's all I have. They are so expensive, starting at $75 and going up from there, that it's hard for me to justify spending the $$ on them.

I've kind of been away from my computer a little bit lately, sorry to be so silent. Not so sure what's going on, lol. I'm usually on the DIS all day every day and until today it certainly wasn't for amazing weather or anything, lol.

I'll have to catch up on a lot I'm sure. Nice to see my mother isn't the only one who tried did the kitty litter cake (for my sister). That was an interesting birthday weekend.

Rochele - I know I mentioned on FB that I would take photos of my Vinylmation collection sometime this week and I'm doing it tomorrow and posting 'em here. I'm probably going to scare myself silly when I see what I have all together.

I am bidding on 2 vinylmations on ebay (just won one). I won one on ebay the other day too and can't wait to get it. The seller shipped it out already so I should get it soon.


At least collecting the vinylmations I like will keep me occupied before the next series of Domo blind box figures comes out. I love collecting those and it's really fun and cute I call it my Domo Mafia collection.

I used to collect Classic Pooh stuff but haven't for a few years now. Here's the stuff I have:

(I decorated the pillows- the red one is the For The Birds group from the Pixar short The Tink poster on the wall is one I ordered from WDW and had it shipped to me a few years ago).


I collected some Disney Jim Shore figures. It's on my black DVD shelf in the above photo but I haven't taken a pic. I only have a few of them.

I know! I always feel like I need to go to Ikea and buy more shelving!

The purple one is cute but the starting bid amount is too high for me (almost $100). So crazy! I think it's a chaser that's why.


I do have one CM Ambassador vinylmations. I got it when Albort took me to Company D a year ago. He was like: "Why do you want that?" I said: "I don't know...it's cute and it says CM exclusive!" Here is a pic:

Sometimes when I feel I'm running out of space to put my Disney collectibles, I think of John Lasseter's office. He is so lucky to have the cat bus from Totoro on his wall. I'm so jealous that Miyazaki gave that to him as a gift. I was wondering where he was going to hang it. lol.

Hola ladies!
It is soooooo beautiful outside!! Too bad Im inside because of my dang allergies. I woke up with the worst sinus headache. I love Spring but it is killer on my sinuses.

On to happier things!

Yep, it's not the most appetizing looking cake around. Which is why it's good for things like Halloween, or this Friday for April Fools Day. And kids love it, of course.
It was pretty tasty. Ruben took it into work last time I made it and they all liked it.

I refuse to turn on the AC yet. I'm trying to hold of until May at least. Once May hits, the AC gets turned on and doesn't get turned off again until October.

I should make that cake for my brother's 30th bday. It's April 7th. He's not a sweets person but he is gets a kick out of things like this. I'd eat it....but I'd have to keep telling myself "its not cat crap, its not cat crap"

Oh man I can only imagine what your power bill looks like in the summer. I love warm weather but anything over 90 makes me *almost wish for a mini snow storm.

Did you see how many UNavailable dates there are? Way too expensive for my family but I guess not for others.
Staying at the Grand is my dream one day.

I can stay in my house here. I'd rather have a nice room overlooking California Adventure ANYDAY. 600 a night is too expensive in my opinion. And I would be worried that something would get ruined. I am infamous for spilling.

I get like that sometimes. But usually there is a reason. Like if I know Im a big downer and don't want to bring down with me. I even went almost a year without dis-ing! I KNOW! I am much better know. I know I have some great ladies as buddies here on the Dis.

I have been quite busy, so have not had a chance to check in and read what is going on. I hope everyone is good.

I have a bunch of projects going on. I'm in the middle of making "Quiet Books" for my 2 little grandchildren who are turning one soon. They are quite labor intensive. I hope they turn out to be keepsakes.

After that, I might be making Kaitlyn's Prom dress, if we can't find one. Then..........I am way behind on getting my house in order. I still need to make curtains for our living room and a shower curtain. If I wasn't so dang picky, I could probably find something. LOL! My problem is, that I picture something in my head, and then nothing comes close to it.

Well, Luca is coming over in a bit. He's walking now. So cute!

The Divas in Florida right now are having crappy weather today for those who haven't seen their FB updates. Being held hostage in their hotel room under tornado watch at the moment.
I have to say, I love WDW, but I hate Florida. oo hot, too wet, too humid, there's tornadoes, hurricanes, all sorts of creepy-crawlies, etc. Not that anyplace is perfect, but still. And I guess I am the only one who feels that way based on the number of people who move there, or want to move there.
Anyway, I hope for their sake the weather changes soon and they are able to continue having a great time!

I havent checked FB. That totally bites that they are under tornado watch. Especially for the first timers. Hopefully that gets over with soon and they can get out there and have a blast!

Those are pretty cool looking. Maddie would totally love any and all vinylmations. She loves collectables. She's 6 and already collects little teeny stuffed animals and hello kitty figurines. We haven't been to Disney in awhile, but she is already excited about pin trading.

BTW, you have quite an impressive Disney collection. I like!
