Disunplugged blog free dining rumor

Just checked the Disunplugged blog and Pete has posted the following...

"We’re hearing pretty reliable rumors that Walt Disney World’s next promotion will be free dining for travel between August 15 - September 30, 2009. If reports are correct, these will be available for booking starting on March 30th. Again this is RUMOR, so don’t bet the mortgage on this, but we’re comfortable enough with our information to put it out there."

No mention of which of the plans will be offered or to whom but this is the first real leak of information I've seen! Now, if they offer it in the states will they offer it again on .uk or has that offer been and gone?

Sorry if everyone has already seen this, but I've been working nights and haven't had a chance to come online as much as I'd like .

I believe that it has been and gone with Disney Uk but Virgin is offering Free Dining I think.

If you are interested in the offer you can book with Disney US. That is what we are looking to do...fingers crossed.

Even taking Free Dining into account with the exchange rate been the way that it is, it is still cheaper for us to pay via the uk site and add the Dining on as an extra then pay on the US site but get the dining free

Does any one else agree or am I doing something wrong

I did a quick check this morning....for a 2 week stay at the Pop for 2 adults and 2 children....would be $1292 rack rate in a standard room with a exchange rate of 1.4 the total would £922.00 which if it would include dining if it was free.

UK, the dining alone would be £895.00 for Quick Service and £1119.44 for the 1QS 1TS and 1 Snack which the US tend to offer it maybe different will have to wait and see....

they didnt offer value hotels with free dining in the uk last year for this year so they might not do it in the us either.

W booked pofq and upgraded to the regluar dining plan instead of the counter service plan that was free
